They never said we were getting a sub tree and the “some” phrase from the CM post could just mean one additional vehicle

I think its safe to assume its a subtree. Maybe not a whole line, but it is a subtree. India is a subtree w/o a line, SA is a subtree w/o a line, Pakistan is a subtree w/o a line, etc.
Since it’s been called a subtree before, and we’re now getting ground vehicles, I’d argue it is fully fledged (Aviation + Helicopter + Ground)

Well yeah I’m not saying it’s not a sub tree I’m saying we are likely just getting the Leo and one more (if we are lucky as dev is ending)
But people when the dev stream came were expecting a full sub tree which is not what they said would come.

Indonesia has 2A4+, but it might have DM33.
The 2a4+ are identical to the 2RI, just minus the AMAP armor, so it should have the same ammo as well
but they could also decide to just give it the standard 2a4 ammo for balancing purposes

Yeah could have base 2A4 and 2A4+ both as 10.7s, the latter with the same ammo for balance, the jump from 9.3/9.7 to 11.7 is too big imo
I thought 2A4+ were C-Tech and 2RI were B-Tech?
the basis for Indonesian Leopard 2 is Swiss Pz 87 not the German 2A4 contrary to popular believe but idk much the different between the German 2A4 and Pz 87 aside the minor visual difference
iirc the Leo2A4+ were C-Tech Pz87s, and the Leo2RI were German Leo2A4s w/ the kit

The second customer is Indonesia. In 2014, an Indonesian Leopard 2A4 variant with more advanced Revolution armor in AMAP-B configuration (known as Leopard 2RI) was introduced to the public at the Eurosatory expo. While the Eurosatory prototype was equipped with a lot of additional equipment such as ROSY smoke grenade launchers and extra mine protection, the finalized version for Indonesia only has some of that extra kit, including:
- Air conditioning
- Electric turret drive replacing the old hydraulic one
- Improved gun recoil brakes (enabling the gun to the newest high-pressure ammunition)
- Improved Fire Control System (enabling the gun to fire programmable ammunition)
Indonesia ordered 61 of these machines from Germany with the first vehicles arriving in August 2016. Delivery of the vehicles, along with other German equipment, such as the Marder IFVs and 42 Leopard 2A4+ tanks, was completed in March 2017. It’s worth noting that the Leopard 2A4+ is a Leopard 2A4 with all the above mentioned upgrades minus the armor kit.
This is what I can find online, obviously we dont know 100% for sure but I havent seen anything which states otherwise

We’re waiting for the 2RI armor to be configured, then we’ll know what package the 2A4+ will have, C or B.
I hope that tomorrow the dev server will be updated and we will finally find out whether the 2Ri will have armor or not.
Really hope gaijin gonna add C tech armor package and Spall liner for Leopard 2RI. With that Armor package + AMAP B+L and it should have really great protection (Ofc B tech package + AMAP B+L is good tho),Since gaijin give this thing 3rd gen thermal for the gunner (Which is in real life 2RI still use WBG-X not ATTICA for thermal imaging system on the EMES 15 it has) then the C-Tech armor package and spall liner in Leopard 2RI is not impossible and we still had chance to hope gaijin gonna add C-Tech armor and spall liner for 2RI
With this configuration: 3rd gen Thermal (Only for gunner since 2RI still use R17A1) + C-Tech armor Package + AMAP B and L + DM53.
And we gonna got great vehicle for fill the japan top tier lineups! (Please God make this happen,bcs I need that),I hope too in future Gaijin will add SHARD apfsds for Leopard 2RI (Since PT Pindad and Nexter Establish cooperation to produce 120mm ammunition (SHARD) for leopard 2a4+/2ri)
