Exactly, joining up with Japan leaves less space for copy paste, but gaijin deliberately chose that and as I said since it requires money to model/tweak model the more unique variants they’d likely prefer to gain more off these as premiums, squadron or event tanks
You’re right, but sometimes Gaijin makes a complete mess of the unique vehicles from various countries. Personally, I prefer having a small number of copy-paste vehicles.
i’d prefer if the copy and paste actually filled gaps. The Thai ground tree filled a ton of gaps, as did the air tree. Genuinely a well rounded subtree.
However, Japan still lacks competitive aircraft in the 14.0-14.3 BR range and suffers from a gap in top-tier helicopters—a void I hope Indonesia can help fill.
the are kinda stuck on JASDF stuff until we see the lightning 2 unfortunately.
indonesia would give them SU27 and SU30 which still wouldnt be great
thailand can get them a Gripen E at least seeing as Saab recently got an order for them, will be brilliant nbut i dont see the E being able to keep up with the typhoon tho. we all will still be clubbed by the rafale no matter.
Rafale F.4 as well; the first Rafale B F.4 for Indonesia has been completed and training on it has already started.
Deliveries will take place long before Thailand would see the first Gripen E iirc.
fair enough that would make japan the best air tree. would also make the rafale fanboys really mad so im 10000% for it
Indonesia operates the AH-64E as well, the fact we’re seeing Indonesia specifically come first with helicopters might be gaijin’s way to set up the future in that regard, plus with the R2Y2s gone that line ends at rank 3 right now, the whole line has immense space to bring in an Indonesian air tree line, the Rafale F.4 would cover for Japan nicely until we get more stuff, honestly Japan does have an option for 14.0, the F-15JM with the IRST dome on the nose, rear aspect MAWS, AIM-120C-5s and AAM-4Bs could be a good addition
