yeah, we’ve recovered quite a bit of vehicles from around there, like this Dutch Hunter (N-112) that was left and burned in Manuhua Airfield
premiums again?
Most likely TT
For the low tier premium I got some idea, the ATAIU-SEA allies captured vehicle. Although they are captured by British but it was test in Malaya and Singapore
Ooh glad to see it was recovered
Duh.
Still not everything would do well in japan
Thailand and indonesia im fine with, phillipines already has vehicles in USA but other than that im fine with it being in japan but other than that no.
unfortunately I dont think it counts since we technically never used it as it was broken as fuck, and even when we eventually repaired it its purely for display since it uses quite a mismatch of parts
some tidbit of the restoration process if anyone wanna read
“The Hawker was repaired like a mock up. The ejection seat from an ex hawk MK53, instrument panel we made using aluminium plate with replica indicators. Canopy made by Depohar 10 bandung. Droptank was modified from hawk mk 53 droptank. landing gear struts… I forgot, I think it was a spare A4 Skyhawk.”
“Why not use the original parts? Because the price is absurd. This aircraft is so big that it needed 2 Hercules (C-130) sortie to bring it back”
“The original landing gear was built by hunter. The Wheel used A-4 skyhawk. In total, we spent almost 4 months working on this hunter.”
1st Sortie
2nd Sortie
“When I see the photo above, I laugh to myself. Back then, the Herky [Hercules] that carries it [Hunter] from the Trikora days are the same aircrafts that were hunted by the same Hunter back then. Now the Herky carried the Hunter to be restored without a grudge.”
Obviously, that is why this is the ASEAN Founders subtree, not all ASEAN nations.
This still allows the subtree to still form a coherent and complete grouping of nations, while conveniently limiting itself to the more “western” half of the ASEAN nations.
At least in terms of amount of potential content, Japan with such a subtree ends up somewhere similar to France/BeNeLux and Britain/South Africa/India, but still less than what USSR/US would offer.
This seems like a reasonable amount and enough to keep the tree relevant and competetive in the future without overshadowing the “major” nations.
And this still leaves other ASEAN nations for a potential Chinese subtree, such as Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar, that can very much also be combined with other subtree options they have like Bangladesh and Pakistan, as well as North Korea.
So, even though China still has more options than Japan, it is still the fairest option in terms of balancing the in-game factions.
Additionally, here are some more images and camouflages of the suggested Indonesian vehicles

Does anyone know of any French jets operated by ASEAN countries, aside from the Rafale?
Cambodia operates the MS-733A Alcyon COIN aircraft and Fouga Magisters however Cambodia only joined ASEAN later on when they stopped operating that model of aircraft
yeah, don’t think much french was in any of first 5 asean members, though historically TNI-AU almost get the Mirage 2000 in 1980’s and also again like a year or two ago (ex-QEAF fleet), and both of the deals fell off
Rafale also pitched up their sales to both SG and MY, the former lost to F-15SG and the latter wasn’t chosen on 2010s MRCA selection as it was cancelled right before the general election back in 2018.
The only close to what we have probably RAAF Mirage IIIO that once stationed in Butterworth.
Technically, the contract for the Qatari Mirage 2000 has been signed and it could be activated at any moment, and few weeks ago there’s a rumour among local military enthusiast that the deal has been reconsidered. We’ll have to wait and see.
yeah, similar situation to the Su-35, its “technically” not canned
CNN (translated to english):
Just realise there is a Founders at the titles, but isn’t it has to having some proportionality to the real founder😅, Malaysia and Philippine as the founder of the former body of ASEAN, the Association of Southeast Asia (ASA) they proportion in this tree I would say quite low (Nah, I just kidding🤣🤣)
Personally i prefer the Lim 5/6s camos but the F-13 does have some decent ones as well
