You may be correct that Japan mains desire the “juicier” tree that may be Singapore, however, I think this is completely fair. China has a huge arms industry and export market that ensures they will receive a constant influx of vehicles. Japan does not have this option, even including prototypes. China getting subtrees (which is fine) on top of their already incredible amount of domestic options is just not at all equivalent to Japan’s situation. Look at how the Japanese tree has changed over the decade, while Chinese tree is already beginning to exceed it. Can you really fault Japan mains for wanting more for their tree?

I should clarify that Gaijin has stated they will not be adding tech of Chinese origin because of certain reasons. They explicitly denied VT-4, which is kinda ridiculous

Yeah, IIRC, according to that long-term leak, NK was supposed to be a Chinese Sub TT, and SK was to be a US Sub TT
I feel like a ‘middle east’ tech tree would have even less of a base than the israeli one. It’d have to start at like rank 5.
I mean, they already have a premium North Korean MiG-17 in the form of the Shenyang F-5.

I really wonder how the general consensus for Korean players is on this.
From what I’ve seen a combined tree is preferred, but if Gaijin really wants subtrees instead NK+SK for PRC+ROC seems to be at least closest to an independent tree it gets, while also settling this debate here since South Korea is basically offering anything Chinese players want from Singapore and more.
If this really is something Korean players agree with I might just suggest such a subtree.

To be fair it’s been a while since I’ve seen that. Now the consensus is to wish VT-4 onto Japan like it is some sort of punishment.
Though arguably more VT-4 players across multiple trees might also make the fixes for it a higher priority, so it can benefit both nations.
