Honestly we’ll probably see the AGM-84E SLAM missile eventually as a potential equivalent for western jets and the few Flankers with western components that are compatible with it, I think the MKM is? Not sure I’ll have to look into it
I think the mig-29sm radar is simply too abysmal, I’d rather get a 29m like you said
Hey it’s by being abysmal that it stays at the lower BR it is, and the J-10A has almost a straight up copy of that radar, thank God the J-10B/C change that, but yeah the 29M in Russia would be 1 of the few jets I actually want and would fly in that tree. I’ll be honest I really don’t enjoy playing Russia much, so a modernized Fulcrum in China through Myanmar would be really peak for me at least and although it wouldn’t be drastically different than the SMT it would still be a bit better lol
J10a is copy of 29smt/yak 141 radar (n010), not of mig 29 normal radar/n019.
29sm is n019
J10a radar/29smt/141 radar is good
Isn’t the 29SM like the SMT without the dorsal tank? Pretty sure it uses the same N010, if I recall correctly the 29SM is capable of firing R-77s which the normal N019 is not capable of, but I could be mistaken
I just posted the platcard for it, albeit in Russian. I’ll post English translated version. It uses Н019Э
For 29smt without dorsal fuel, I think you’re talking about 9.18 smt. We have 9.19r in game

I just looked it up to be sure, it uses the N019E, not a normal N019 either, the N019E is upgraded and capable of firing RVV-AE (R-77)
N019e is just export n019.
Yeah maybe they have older and upgraded ones in stock. Because there’s also this about it, given that the placard you sent includes the RVV-AE, and the normal N019 is not capable of firing R-77s, then it seems like it’s the N019ME
“the MiG-29SM version results in inclusion into the N-019E (N-019ME) airborne radar composition of an independent radar-channel with MVK-04 computer, in upgrading of the optical electronic fire control & navigation system due to integration of a new data display system with a MFD-54 multifunction color display and installation of additional weapons management control system.”
“In the composition of MiG-29SM airborne avionics the data exchange multiplex channel is added (bus of MIL STD 1553B standard). The “A-A” class weapons nomenclature is added with middle-range missiles R-27ER1, R-27ET1 (T1) with radar-guided and IR homing heads and RVV-AE missiles with active radar homing heads.”
Yeah it’s Н019Э
Google translate didn’t pick up for some reason
Н019Э, Н019 (в-в, в-з, метео)
It seems to be upgraded n019 in some way,
Anyways still much worse than n010
We got to the bottom of it, nice, yeah I think it could be an interesting 13.3 jet to have, honestly the SMT itself is alright these days thanks to the decompression and the favorable matchmaker 13.3s get
Also I must say the MiG-29 variants are so damn confusing, just like its western counterpart the F-16, there are so many variations and combinations of systems, capabilities, countermeasure setups and avionics, really a mess lmao
New Splinter Camo for the TNIAU’s Sukhoi 30s (T-3008 & T-3009)
Cool
What kind of radar does the Su-30Mk2 use?
Disappointingly, N001 VEP.
I’d rather have Malaysia’s unique Su-30. Has N011M BARS plus canards and TVC unlike Indonesia’s MK2.
Really cool
I mean the Indonesian would probably be more unique in the game actually, in practice the Malaysian wouldn’t differ much from the Russian one at all despite having significant differences that matter irl, but not quite ingame, the Indonesian Su-30 being worse than the SM can fit as a 14.0 jet instead of 14.3 for example, but I’d like either of
Indonesia’s Su-30 are bascially the Su-27SM with worse engines and less A2G options; correctly implemented it would be 13.7 at best.
Yeah sounds about right
