Dunno in test drive it is 10 seconds after the first stage, that’s in line with the 6 rounds per minute during “intense” firing
If it’s faster for you, maybe the loader skill is erroneously applied?

Oh for sure, I’ve always been of the opinion that the LRF SPHs should be at a way higher BR than they currently are
seems about right. in the real world first two reloads are less than 4.5 seconds so its still too weak
It is, it takes only 6.5 seconds to load after firing the first 3 shells, it’s an insanely fast reload
It feels like it has the 2 round ready rack and continues firing at the same rate of fire regardless. It’s quite insane. Makes the premium one look like a joke. I don’t care if it stays 7.0 or not, but if that’s where Gaijin wants it they need to evaluate the BR of things like the Sholef and AuF1.
the premium one is a second slower per shell. which makes it worthless next to as90
It was less mobile (Vickers hull), while reloading much slower. Now it is looking better.
I’m really curious as to how can the AS90 magically get 940m/s out of an L/39 barrel, not to mention that reload speed
The AS90 was designed from the outset to use M203A1 “super” propellant charges.
M109s use them too I’m just not sure what variant it started with. And presumably the M109A1s in game (also 39-calibre) are not using that propellant charge.
Its still worse in every way. but quite adequate for the BR.
AS90 is disgusting without its 10 second sustained reload ngl.
It appears that several reports regarding bullet velocity have been submitted.
The projectile velocity is expected to be around 810 m/s.
I’m curious about the materials Gaijin used as references.

Some issues with this report.
one of his website sources provides zero relevant information.
the source with a velocity is referring to the DM92 charges, which are an anachronism for the base early service AS90 we see in game. The in game one will be using L10 bag charge.
I havent found any info on the shell velocity on AS90 yet but i have been looking
Yes, that’s what I was wondering about too.
You’ve put into words the unease I felt when I read their report.
I guess we should get amongst it that Britain might quietly have an OP vehicle in the AS90 (as much as an SPG can be OP, given the autocannon meta).
“Furthermore, documentation from Rheinmetall, the manufacturer of modular propellant charges, states that a 39-caliber howitzer uses five modular propellant charges, resulting in a muzzle velocity of 810 m/s.”
Aren’t there 8 charges in the form of three cartridges?
While i was looking for stuff i did see some things about using 8 of the “doughnut” charge bags in 155mm guns
Its just a worse armoured type 99 for the most part. the main issue is how quickly it would be powercrept if moved up. PZH2000 an K9 Thunder (Vidar) are only a BR higher at most despite being far superior in ways that would usually give a 2 BR difference
i can see AS90 being actually superior to the Type 99
AS90 V Type 99 benefits:
has 3mm more armour
Better ammo storage location
All ammo is the “Ready rack”
Much better high zoom
No Internal Modules
.50 cal
AS90 Benefits:
A higher Power to weight
A higher top speed
A higher reverse speed
50% quicker reload
2.5x more gun depression
1 more crew member
Its turret armour is better angled
Much better low zoom
They have equal turret drives, velocity, same shells, similar sizes, anything else is likely redundant to mention
they are really on par, either 99 Goes down (it won’t) or AS90 goes up (more probable)
PzH 2000 could easily be 8.0, and Vidar could be 8.3
ngl. Id take a longer reload for the .50 cal

And spaded
IMO pretty good could probably be 7.3, personally been spading it at 7.7 with the Scimmie
FCS modules suck literal donkey
