As a community we need to, and need to be able to, report 1 death leavers

The devs have clearly made it clear that one death leaving is not the intended way to play the game. We need to be allowed to report people for continuous abuse and chain leaving games after 1 death.

It is a abused mechanic and something that is toxic for the entire game and player base.

Sometimes they’re wallet warriors whose 2nd best tank is a 2.0 SPAA

What if they just spawn in a low tier tank and then J out immediately after spawning in?

I encountered people that 1 death left and had 1-2 kills. And then I see a person with 2-3 deaths and 0 kills.

Whats better.

What about instead:

  1. Fix the awful maps. A lot of maps are not even worth spawning on, much less respawning. Even with premium account, you can’t ban enough awful maps to not go insane.
  2. Fix the battlepass so that it doesn’t punish you for playing long matches. Get rid of all the tasks for medium and hard tasks that require completing more than 1 battle as an explicit requirement (ergo: no “win 3 times while doing X”)
  3. Fix the economy.

The way the game’s economy is set-up, if you don’t ODL you nerf yourself.

Why?

Your Activity% is calculated PER VEHICLE, not PER MATCH.

Meaning,

You get 6 kills on your first spawn in Tank A.

If you use a back-up and respawn as tank A, you retain the 6 kills’ score to activity and go about your merry way.

Whereas, if you get 6 kills as tank A and respawn as tank B - you start from zero. It is very much possible to spend 10 minutes in tank A, getting a juicy score and then die… Then respawn as tank B and get 0 score (all capture points captured, enemies pushed into spawn or flying aircraft) and waste some 3-5 minutes getting 0 rewards.

As such:

When to respawn?

  1. Your first life gained zero score with tank A && match still has plenty of easy targets/capture points
  2. You have a back-up and you can spawn tank A again.
  3. Your first life has gained a tier II or tier III skill bonus && (your team doesn’t have all 3 capture points || there’s still lots of enemies)

In every other case, you’re best off going next.

It should still be reportable. Let the devs look at it case by case and decide if they actually tried.

I’m tired of the excuses. You know the maps, if you don’t like em, don’t even play the game.

Battle pass has nothing to do with it.

Economy has nothing to do with anything. 1 death leavers are gonna leave ever if all those things are “fixed”

They always shift the blame to the next thing.

“We leave because the spawn cost!”

“We leave because the cost of vehicles!”

“We leave because we don’t have a free back up!”

“We leave because we don’t have another vehicle!”

These things don’t matter, it’s punishment that will actually get them not to leave.

I’ve had arguments with people who 1 death leave, and it’s always a selfish reason. “Why should I care about the team?” Or “the game encourages me to leave!”

The devs clearly don’t want you to leave, but they don’t outright ban it because it encourages the worst people. The 1 death leavers who buy a single premium vehicle and leave after 1 death or maybe have a premium aircraft. They don’t want that behavior but people pay money so it’s allowed.

1 death leavers are the worst and only get away with it because of premium buyers.

punishing players for bad game design is not the way forward.

Battlepass is full of tasks where it goes “Do X and win” and you need to do it 3 or 5 times.

Tell me.

What’s the sane choice?

You satisfy the X requirement in 5 minutes, then J out and go next nation and do it 10 times to roll for 50% win rate…

Or you satisfy X requirement in 5 minutes, stay for 20 minutes and roll for 60% win rate… then do it probably 10 times still?

One takes 50 minutes before you can play what you want to play.

The other takes 200 minutes.

Even if you get 100% win rate, 5 x 20 mins is 100 minutes still.

Why isn’t it? Plenty of other games do it. We punish players if they do things that are against the ToS.

The game actually punishes anyone who actually spawns into the game with the intention of playing(those who have a full line up) by banning them for a full 7 minutes regardless of context(which, I believe, can lead to harsher effects)

I don’t one death leave, and I still manage to get it done. Don’t blame the BP. People have been 1 death leaving far before jr.

Because players will stop playing if they are forced to not have fun if they want to play.

Gaijin needs to fix the issues that cause 1DL before they start adding more punishments to an already punishing game.

you mean arena shooters like valorant and CS2? and the game most of us left for war thunder, WoT?

totally healthy and non problematic games right there, should follow their lead

Games are meant to be fun, not having fun? leave. Simple as that

Force player to stay when not having fun, less players.

less players, bad.

More people that demand WT follow the same mistakes as WoT, BAD

No big lose. Anyone who one death leaves round after round isn’t doing us any favors.

What is this game but an arena shooter at the end of the day? All we have is TDM.

Defending one death leavers is insane to me. Is the most unhealthy part of the game but the only reason I feel like it isn’t a bigger deal is because so many people do it and a lot of people who do, but premiums.

this is a conquest game with an accidental deathmatch mode.

its also not a competitive game like those are.

one death leaving is unhealthy but your request is like replacing smoking with opium

What about “get 120 critical hits”, and this after they nerfed what constitutes a critical hit so it’s pretty much just kills…

If a player is doing a task that ready you to get X kills of heavy tanks and nobody on the opposition spawns a heavy tank, there’s a good chance the player is going to ODL… Don’t give me “Battle pass has nothing to do with it.” Battlepass and grinding or spading specific vehicles seems to be all people do here now. There’s not enough incentive to play to win. Don’t get me wrong, I totally agree with you that it’s disappointing that it’s come to this, but it’s 100% Gaijin’s fault.
