The Time Has Come to Allow Loadout Editing During Battle
Why?
Let’s take the Su-22M3 as an example for the next major update.
Before spawning, I have to choose between different Kh-58U seeker combinations.
Because Ground RB matchmaking is random rather than historical, I have no way of knowing which nation I will face in the next battle.
Since loadouts cannot be edited during a match, I am forced to create multiple presets just to cover the different Kh-58U combinations:
A + A
B + B
C + C
A + B
A + C
B + C
That is already six presets dedicated only to Kh-58U configurations.
On top of that, I need separate CAS\CAP loadouts for each setup of these six: unguided bombs, unguided rockets, laser-guided weapons, air to air missiles and so on.
For the Su-22 alone, this can easily result in 18 or more presets just to cover the available CAS, CAP and SEAD options.
All of this complexity would disappear if players could edit their loadout during battle before spawning.
A single preset could then be adjusted according to the current situation, including:
- Available spawn points
- Enemy SPAA radar bands
- Map layout
- Team composition
- Other tactical considerations
Allowing in-battle loadout editing would reduce unnecessary preset clutter, improve quality of life, and let players make informed tactical decisions based on the actual battlefield conditions.

This + ability to change loadouts on airfield like in air sim so you can adapt to situation on battle field. Like get gps bombs instead of feeding agm65 to pantsir. Or retreat to base to get gun and 9ls on aardvark when plane spawns.

YES YES YES. also being able to change it and once you reload at an airfield it goes to that load out. of course if you have earned the additional point if the new loadout requires more points.

I mean they might as well also increase the loadout limit to 30 or even 50. with planes liek the SU24 or SU34 one can quickly get the 20 full if you want one loadout for every bracket of SP cost AS IS ALREADY
If you have enough SP to spawn in the most expensive loadout possible, ONLY then you should be allowed to J out on the airfield but you should also only be allowed to J out once with SP loss, but not a death
So I have to get rockets on my low tier plane in order to keep my aircraft, if I want to rearm faster? This is so stupid.
This is only if you want to J out and change armaments. Get some reading comprehension. If you’re not planning on Jing out then don’t J out on the airfield for a cheesy faster reload. Get Ace crew.
But I don’t want to wait 20 secs to rearm just because I’m missing some tinny little rockets on my loadout like, is this actually a serious position or ragebait?
So this is what we throw out when people disagree, cool

Do you even play GroundRB?
