Are they ever gonna fix the Bias Mi28NM Garbage

The trayectory of heat missiles are wrong, thats why they most of the time hits cannon, tracks, or the roof horizontaly.

In real life atgms like spike or hellfire have top attack capabilities, which most of the times its an instant kill. Ingame only lmur have this feature.

After all this years gaijin refuse to fix this, but lmur got it day 1.

Clearly a western marketing lie :P

yeah I actually am fully confused on how hellfire’s are implemented, like I could partially understand it for the spikes especially back when they were like the only FnF and the super blackhawk could carry 16 of them but the hellfire’s were objectively worse than their Russian counter parts and were lased so it getting top attack would be reasonable, I swear I’ve seen 30 different approved hellfire top attack bug reports that are accepted yet its still not implemented.

Like its not bias but it is extremely odd and I just cant figure out the reasoning.

Prior to LMUR getting the appropriate attack profile. I would have maybe said “Game limitation” but now… Its got to be soviet bias. there is just no other possible excuse for having one missile with the correct flight path so it does meaningful damage, and literally every single other missile, despite years old reports, being wrong. Even JAGM-MR is wrong if im not mistaken, so an entirely new missile in theory is still incorrect.

Yeah like I assumed limitations and balance as the overall reason for not modeling it, but I’m wondering if they did what they did for the stinger and made a theoretical conclusion on its abilities for top attack early on in its implementation and just removed it because it wouldn’t work with how they modeled the older hellfire models. since the JAGM shares an almost identical model I believe.

( further explanation they added a new missile model for the lmur so they based it around the need to actually have top attack first, while the JAGM is a hellfire model so they didn’t alter the original model meaning it wouldn’t be capable i.e. if it attempted it it would over shoot, or wobble since its trying to do what it should be capable of using a bad model that didn’t have that in mind when implemented.)

This is my theory though and im not a game dev so no clue how reasonable this assumption is

I think they intentionally make top attack that way because grb maps are so tiny that the missile would simply not have the distance to loft, Spikes already miss a lot under 500m especially on fixed elevation launchers. They should implement it correctly for helicopters however.

Well for ground vehicles for shorter distances the spike launcher its aimed straight, and so the missile will get a more straight attack, but with higher elevations (like the namer trish) the missile will go higher and land on top. We should have a feature to change elevation of the tubes as we want ingame.

In this video you can see some spikes hitting the hull in an horizontal angle when the tube its aimed straight.

For air platforms the default should be top attack.

If you manage to survive going above 800m in the air JAGMs at least start actually arcing down and the missiles start working. You can try it out in arcade pve.
The mechanic is possible, like people said LMUR does this normally.
