Are shells broken or something?

He kept going but did not see you. If you waited 10 seconds and he did not get blown up he would have com,e from behind the house and gave you the perfect side shot

In practice you are just not going to do this, if he is semi-competent and free-looks corners before driving into the open I die

This is the situation I’m in, and he’s not going to drive completely perpendicular across the open space. He’ll reach the house, turn, and whether he notices me or not he will be facing forward.

It looks like you are maybe hitting at around a 55 degree angle. With the PCO-50, that is about a 23% chance of a bounce.

To be fair it might be closer to 52-53 degrees which is still around 15ish % to bounce. Got unlucky.

Knowing tiger players, he most likely would of gave him a much better shot.

Is there a way we can see the exact angle or do we just have to guess?

I believe it might give it to you if you saved the shot from the post match results.

But yes, i am eyeballing it. The shot sim will still show it green since it doesnt really look at bounces unless it is 100%.

Looking at it again, im leaning towards 53-55 degrees. So 16.6-23.3% chance on a bounce.

That is exactly what you would do since you can clearyl see the tiger has no idea of your whereabouts

exactly. Tiger players can be so bad you can go killing them with 3.7 light tanks

Me watching 70% of tiger 1 players refuse to angle their hull

Path he will take is straight behind cover, forward face my direction, move towards C point. This only works if we assume he is AFK on autodrive and heading towards the completely open space of map leading out of bounds.

I think you are over thinking when it comes to other players.

Most players are casual. I see a large amount of players just hold W and refuse to check flanks (ever wonder why the flanks on maps keeps getting red-zoned?)

This is more noticed on the popular nations (US, Germany, USSR). Mid-rank german players are well known to not be the best at checking their surroundings.

I prefer not to play on the assumption that other people suck(even though it is mostly true for KT/Tiger players) because it just leads to poor decisions. If I’m being honest with the amount of complete BS Soviet/US APHE shots I see go through, I thought it was an absolutely perfect shot.

Honestly, seeing that it works in most cases, im fine doing it.

Once you play enough, you learn how the average player of a vehicle plays. If they do something different, you can change tactics.

In this case, if you stopped your tank and sat still, 90% chance he would of rushed past you to go to C.

APHE overperforms and the community throws a huge fit whenever gaijin tries to fix it.

One of the few things i dont blame gaijin on. People dont want their nuke rounds to have realistic damage.

Nobody is saying you should assume people suck. This guy clearly had no idea you were there and would ahve just kept going

Yeah. Its more accurate to say you are assuming they are tunnel visioned. If they were not tunnel visioning they probably would of handled it decently

Where do you think this guy is driving to? The completely open plane of sand that leads to a 20-second kill zone or the objective/absolutely any action at all that would require him to turn my direction and show his most armoured points? You’re asking me to assume this guy is playing with his foot

I would believe he was going to drive past the road then turn to the cap around where that dead tank is.

my assumption is he drives to the gap between the two houses, adjusts course(showing frontally to me in the process) and drives to the point. Either way I am in a worse position than when I took the shot. But again the shot I took still should have been absolutely sufficient to disable/kill him so none of this should’ve been relevant.

Even if he did, what would he do? Show you his flat turret cheeks to you as he tries to aim at you?

If you wanted to take that early shot, you should of went for the lower side. Less armor so the overmatch would of reduced the bounce chance.

He would show me a very tiny weakspot that I have to aim for whereas he can point and click me with the long 88. It also wouldn’t one-hit kill like the shot I aimed for would. Aiming lower for the side shot would have just disabled his transmission with 90mm solid shot, tank is too spacious inside for spalling to take out critical turret components/crew with that low of a shot.

I would likely have penned his turret cheeks before he got a shot off anyway but the point is I would have been in a far more disadvantageous position than when I took the shot I did.
