Are Bombers now too fragile to play?

GJ could go long way to fixing bombers by reinstating the higher spawn altitudes and gunner skills of say 2015.

I have 25 researched bombers I will likely never buy. I spent a bit getting gunner crew skills maxed. As far I’m concerned, GJ owes me money for nerfing the gunners right after I got there.

since the update I observed a strange effect - when a bomber is destroyed very often its bombs also show up in the killfeed. This also happens when the bombs are already dropped - if the plane is destroyed the bombs also counted as destr. This is a huge nerf to planes - I don’t know if its a bug or really intended…

Bombs were destructible long before recent update, only rewards and kill-feed were added.
Yeah, if you dropped bombs under heavy fire in most cases you were dead, by your own bombs explosions. Moreover, you are able to kill yourself in some attackers, especially shooting at your own rockets. But I did this few times even with bombs on Wyvern :D

They could just rebalance them after adding seperate ARB/GRB BRs, most bombers are woefully overtiered, only one I can think of that isn’t is the ju288.

Same for pretty much all strike aircraft with some exceptions like wyvern. Would also like to see airspawns just removed and planes put where they should be without them (bombers should still get airspawns obviously).

In my thousands of games in bombers I don’t think even once I’ve seen a base bomb/airfield bomb win condition be fufilled so its not even like its going to disrupt matches if they get moved down.

Two important words there. Bombers get intercepted waaaay too often.

Gave up Air arcade for a couple of reasons.

  1. could not choose the battle mode and did not get ground attack often enough
  2. bombers at such a huge disadvantage - fighters climb too fast, bomber gunners are next to useless and bombers are forced into real battles with stock planes - unlike fighters which can do air assault to gain modules.
