I am curious as to how the random air units are assigned to players when they select 7/8/9 in Arcade battles.
I took my Japan 6.3 lineup into batte and (of course) was fully uptiered to a 7.3 battle. No surprise there.
What caught me off guard was seeing an enemy flying a Canberra bomber, which in Arcade, is 8.7.
How the heck does a player get an air unit that is more than a full BR above the highest ground vehicle in the battle?
My poor 5.3 Sub I-II was more than a little overworked.
They still use this “averaging” thing in Air AB, which is highly outdated and should just be removed.
Making Air AB a "the highest BR in your line up determines the BR the matchmaker uses to
place you into matches(like EVERY other mode in the entire game) is long overdue.
Players just use it to manipulate their line ups and take higher BR planes into lower BR range matches
It serves no purpose anymore, left over from the 20 tier days I think.
But now . . . no use for it.
But until it is changed, just have to deal with it.
I still make all my line ups/presets to be as close to the same BR as I can,
I have just always done it this way and it works out pretty well for me
