So I would like to inquire as to why the US got another M1A1 HC without the self entrenching ability at that? Why does the US tree have only 3 tanks with APS and 2 of them are premiums? And what really is the point of having APS that doesn’t even perform at top tier anyway? The M1A2 would’ve been a much more appropriate choice, but instead we get yet another HC variant, without the dozer, has terrible thermals, and an APS that has absolutely no use in its tier that is dominated by cas spamming IR AGM’s, and is seen by the community as a gimmick? Why does Russia have 5 tanks with APS 3 hard kill and 2 soft kill systems? To me this seems like a way to lie and explain away any future prospects to adding a hard kill system in game because it now opens up the excuse of “oh well America has 3 APS system tanks”, even though 2 of which are locked behind a paywall. In all actuality, the Sep v2 could’ve had the Israeli designed hard kill system that was tested on it for future use on the Sep v3. And before I hear someone say, “well that was just a test bed”, or some other lame and honestly not well thought out excuse, why did the t80u receive thermals when historically (since devs love to pull that one from where the sun don’t shine anytime someone suggests adding anything useful for nato country’s) when only a handful of them were made? And on that note why not add the CATTB in future event to counter the object 292 that was not needed in the first place? And I guess while I’m at it why not add the m829a3 round for the Sep v2 which HISTORICALLY was the standard carries munitions on this version of the Abrams? Or does the “historically accurate” response only matter when it benefits Russia? And before I’m asked for sources, please know I’ve read the forums, there’s plenty of information in this website alone to prove it but you guys already turned a blind eye to it so what good would me sourcing anything do, when you guys are just going to say “it’s not enough” or “we believe this is a lie” anyways? Do we really need to go through this community uprising again to get the point across or can you devs open your eyes for once and balance the game? It’s either ignorance or malicious intent at this point, and we all know it. Can’t wait to have my post flagged for spam because these Russian cope fanatics are just sitting at their keyboard waiting for a new post in favor of NATO nations to come by and say the same things that are factually incorrect over and over again just like an echo chamber. Is there a discord y’all meet at to share whenever a new post comes up so you can rally your Russian cope troops? Honestly, they’re a bunch of jokes at this point. 😂
Also I understand that historically, there were no laser warning systems on Abrams variants, except for the Sep v3 (wow, makes you wonder why they won’t add it; looking at you next gen armor package, m829a3 /4, internal APU, APS, improved thermals and improved datalink) but that’s exactly why the US tech tree needs this added to the Sep v2 (since y’all won’t add in the Sep v3 even though it was introduced around the same time as the 2s38 and t90m🫠).
And another thing, why the heck is russia coddling supplemented by having Germany on their team 8-9 out of every 10 games played? You’d think if it was random it would mix nations often enough, but this is too consistent to be a fluke. Yeah let’s put the 2 most (in game) powerful nations together and while we’re at it, let’s also put either china, Japan, or Sweden on their team just because.
Bro quick word of advice, break up the text a little, feels like I’m doing research on academic papers again 😅
And hey, let’s make the claws complete dog💩 with comically terrible radar which is literally the whole base for the new SPAA’s. Like there’s no other SPAA’s that could’ve been introduced instead because yes, good mobility, but only when you’re not dragging a wobbly trailer behind you. The one supposed good thing is a hindrance and is only made worse by lack of useful radar.
Or just read it. It’s words on your screen, formatting is irrelevant. Not trying to be rude but this seems trivial to bring up.
But thanks for the advice, next time I write a post here, I will try to be mindful of that.
Either way, I really wouldn’t get your hopes up for Trophy HV (system present on the Sep v3) as it’s currently a bugged mess on the Merkava and Namer,
The list of issues includes:
- Multiple charges activating for 1 intercept,
- Intercepting and not preventing damage,
- Not intercepting at all
- Not intercepting air launched AGMs correctly
- Difficulty intercepting LMUR/JAGMs
- Completely eradicating charges on one side of the APS without a threat of damage (eg, missile hitting dead target nearby)
And a plethora of other issues, that haven’t been fixed in over 10 months since the issues arose, while ARENA works flawlessly (to no one’s surprise)
This seems like a relatively easy fix but instead we’re getting waifu tanks and yet another t3485. It’s literally what the devs decide to work on. They make conscious decisions to add more useless stuff and create new vehicles for an already overdeveloped tech tree for a biased nation.
Well yeah that’s a massive area of contention, we’re been handing in bug reports for nearly a year now but instead of fixing it, they ignore the reports outright.
Maybe TROPHY HV coming to America and Germany is a good thing, as it may finally be fixed, not getting my hopes up though.
Also my hopes aren’t up. I know they won’t because we all know it would be a substantial addition to the US lineup who consistently goes up against the heavy hitters mentioned before, always being on the same team. They cant have that happening I guess. My goal is to raise awareness and hopefully get the ball rolling. All it needs is a little shove to go downhill, and big things can be made to happen. But I don’t have any hopes for it actually happening, this is just my attempt.
I invite to read my topic on the Leclerc, I gave sources, accurate information, but absolutly nothing change, I also send it to the bug report. What I want to tell you is that until gaijin are close to russia, it will never change, and for no nation. The thing that trigger me the most recently, it that we are sending video and proof of the trajectory of the spike lr, triggat/pars 3 lr and even agm-114k for years now, but they refuse to correct it, and insteed the first russian missile that works the same, it works perfectly, if that is not a lack of impartiality, then what it is ?
Also venting my frustrations, because this game in its current state is absolutely infuriating if you don’t play the biased countries. Which is a disservice to the gaming industry whose sole purpose is to provide fun and entertainment to its audience. Right now it feels like a Russian propaganda outlet because their tanks and aircraft are getting wiped in certain world events currently happening in our world, and russia can’t be made to look bad because well, it’s russia and this Russian Federal Law No. 31-FZ, enacted on March 4, 2022, added articles 20.3.3 and 20.3.4 to the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses
. These new articles criminalized certain public statements regarding the military and sanctions, introducing administrative liability for:
- Article 20.3.3: “Discrediting” the Armed Forces. It penalizes public actions intended to discredit the use of the Russian Armed Forces, including calls to obstruct their use. The law extends to other Russian state bodies, including the National Guard and Federal Security Service (FSB), when they operate outside of Russian territory. A first offense is typically punished with a fine.
- Article 20.3.4: Calls for sanctions. This article introduced administrative liability for Russian citizens and legal entities who publicly call for sanctions to be imposed against Russia.
Escalation to criminal charges
Federal Law No. 31-FZ was passed in conjunction with Federal Law No. 32-FZ. These two laws work together to create a two-tiered system of punishment, sometimes called the “Dadin scheme”:
- A first-time offense under articles 20.3.3 and 20.3.4 results in an administrative penalty.
- Repeat offenses can then be prosecuted under corresponding articles in the Criminal Code, leading to more severe penalties, including imprisonment.
Broader censorship efforts
These laws are part of a wider effort to control information in Russia, particularly regarding the invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Other measures include:
- **Expansion of “discrediting” offenses:**Subsequent laws have expanded the list of actions that can be deemed as “discrediting” to include the activities of Russian state bodies outside of Russia and volunteer military formations.
- The “fake news” law: The same legislation package, including Federal Law No. 32-FZ, also added Article 207.3 to the Criminal Code. This article penalizes the public dissemination of “knowingly false information” about the Russian armed forces.
They still maintain offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg from what research I’ve looked into. Correct me if I’m wrong, there’s some speculation in this obviously.
Yea I realized
As previously stated 3 tanks have hardkill system. 2 tanks have an electro optical softkill system. One of the hardkill systems is no longer available from my understanding but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist, it’s still in the game and still puts that specific tank at an advantage in top teir.
I don’t understand your problem with germany + russia. Almost every tree in war thunder has leopards, so you’re always fight against it
Send link please and I will give it a look. I want to clarify that I am not just wanting changes made to US because I’m a US main. I would like to see every nation get balanced and stay competitive. This can still be achieved while making tanks unique in their own way.
While i doubt Gaijin is legally bound to support modern russian vehicles, there is definitely an ideological motive within elements of the dev team, especially with the recent nerfs to NATO roof armour in a fashion that seems to be aimed at making the LMUR more effective.
Idk it’ll be called blind superstition by certain members of this forum, but long-term pattern recognition and game decisions make it fairly obvious who gets the preferential treatment
Do you think this system has 100% interception rate?
It’s closer to 100% than the 10% in game
