April 1st event predictions?

With April coming in just over two weeks, what do yall think this year’s event is gonna be? Here’s why I think it will and won’t be.

What I think it won’t be:

  • Testbed for advanced missiles (e.g HARMs) or stealth aircraft.

  • Ground based event (it will likely be air or naval).

  • Collab with other game. Although the last event, Mad Thunder, was a collab, I doubt this next one will be.

What I think it could be:

  • Testbed for a more advanced form of a feature already ingame, e.g fire control systems or detailed airplane damage models.

  • A grinding event. I believe that grinding for items will be carried over from Mad Thunder.

These next two are a lil out there btw.

  • New gamemode testbed. The WT community has been asking for a better gamemode (e.g ARB EC) for years. Maybe Gajin will use this next event as a gamemode testbed.

  • Helicopter event. Yall know how the AH-56 Cheyenne appeared in recent datamines as an event vehicle? Afaik, only one event helicopter has ever been released, that being the H-34. Basically, what I’m saying is it’s very out of the ordinary. I believe that the Aprils fools event might be Gajin’s way of adding the AH-56.

What are yalls’ thoughts?

It could be a test bed for the new strategic bomber game mode

We already have the baseline for all modern missiles and stealth aircraft.

hopefully its just a testbed for fixing major issues with the game.

Since they recently added things for shooting down munitions I think they’ll be testing Multi-Vehicle SPAA

Like a minigame where the objective is to shoot down the most bombs as possible

this would actually be good

Be nice if they’d just go back to the old style “fun” events that were not “free testing” of stuff they should be doing on the Dev server anyway(dedicated player test groups when?!?!)
Gaizilla, Inflat-O Tanks, Mech Walkers . . heck even The KRAKEN!!(even tho that was sorta testing for water, it was still a fun event) . . . those were a blast . … to me anyway . . I’d like to see a return to that for April Fool’s Day events myself.

It’ll be the patch…

Would be cool to see an air event with hyper futuristic aircraft (as a test for Super advanced IR missiles like IRIS-T , AIM-9X and the like). imagine zooming around in unmanned aircraft sized drones that accelerate at twice the rate of any craft in the game, that can do 20g turns without blacking out and has missiles that can shoot at things behind them.

Would be an amazingly chaotic lovely mess. :D

They should make a new mode, call it “ground only” and have it launch you into naval battles…

april fool mode would be ground only mode

Maybe like half the team uses anti rad and anti air missiles and the other half is on the ground. They have to defeat all the enemy’s defense or maybe they have to bomb a strategic point.

I was thinking a solo player minigame but that works too

We get functioning and rotational maps for top tier that fits the BR - but only for a day.

White Rock Fortress comes back.

Cold War vehicles to current gets spal liners like it should be.

I don’t know, maybe a snail pinata.

(joke answer) Advanced warfare: 5th gens and next gen MBTs

(serous answer) Really hope for electronic warfare. April 1st is a test-bed and last one was testing destructible wheels for wheeled vics, so I hope this one will tackle EW and ECM (which is overdue for tops). They also could do the multi-vehicle stuff

CATTB, Abrams X, T-14 Armata, KF-51 Lynx, more…

I think some good options will be:

  • Multi-vehicle SAMs (maybe with HARMs)
  • ASM gameplay (either A2N or N2N) (Recent changes have made me wonder if this is gameplay they plan to lean into more)
  • Strategic bombers / Bomber/strike aircraft gameplay overhaul.

I can see ASRAAM, IRIS-T and 9x being a nightmare to fly against

Yeah, i mean, just look at the amount of flares it just completely ignores XD

And this is 25 year old tech, just imagine what they are currently testing that we find out about in 25+ years time.

This is the point at which BOL being fully modeled becomes a hard requirement

This is tech older than I am and its unbelievable in its capability, and 9x is the tip of the iceburg
