The solution to the APHE problem was in front of everyone here and was polled. It was voted against, and now we are still stuck with AP-I and APHE nuking cupolas, hatches, and all manner of things it shouldn’t. The only correct solution is to make APHE deal damage in front of it, as it should. Current APHE is excessively noob friendly and does not reflect the actual APHE shells seen in service in any way.
Should APHE be more realistic and use the Roadmap suggestion?
+1
i don’t like playing mr snail game that much anymore because so many AA are so mean to face they have strong round and ruin my experiences i vote yes for APHE rework but mr snail ignored the other votes am still heart broken because votes mean nothing 😿
Spookston stated that it did help, but it delayed the same result. This change would still be HUGE for tanks like the T95, which have low crew placement for autocannons. For tanks that utilize bigger cannons, like the Tigers and Panthers, they would have to actually fight a T95 and not just 1-tap the entire thing through the cupola, which is highly unrealistic.
I said it wouldn’t be an “effective nerf”, not that it wouldn’t be a nerf. The real nerf is heavily limiting their APHE rounds, to 1/4 of the belt at max.
As a sidenote to APHE as a whole:
Making the 1 consistent round inconsistent is not a good change. The inconsistent rounds should be buffed instead.
Oh yeah on this, i’ve been playing a ton of Tiger II recently and the cupola on T95 is such a gamble shot to the point where its not even funny. You have to barrel it otherwise there is a more than 50% chance you just die because it didnt fuse.
This would also heavily change APHE weakspots as a whole. Look at Tiger II vs <185mm rounds, the cupola was one of the only weakspots, and now thats gone.
Jumbo is heavily affected. IS-2 is changed ig? Tigers as mentioned, Panther, etc.
This is a blatantly unrealistic damage performance for a shell that barely performed better than non-filled AP rounds.
Making APHE do damage in a line, as Gaijin suggested, is not making it “inconsistent”; it makes it do damage how it should. APHE should not be nuking tanks in Cupola shots.
You shouldn’t be going through it at all to begin with. It’s a high slope and any penetration should do next to nothing realistically. APHE is excessively overperforming, and there’s no reason to use any other shell type 99% of the time.
Like I mentioned, this would change the entire bracket so much to where even veterans would have to relearn what shots kill and what don’t. T95 would be sent into narnia because nothing can kill it frontally anymore. Jumbo would go down, Tiger would go up, etc.
Its just such a massive change that is really not necessary, its an arcade game.
And it doesnt fix other rounds being abysmal, so go figure.
“Veterans”. I have 9000 hours and a login streak of about 2000 days, and the current APHE negatively affects skilled players, not the opposite. It allows people to just spam the same spot instead of learning.
So what if the BR bracket is affected? APHE is making every other shell useless.
You can clearly see how many people here disagree with you.
I wouldnt say so tbh. Say youre in a Sherman 76. A Tiger II is about to egopeek you over a hill. Most new players would just eat crap, but a skilled player would line up a shot on the cupola and hopefully cripple/kill it. This is a back and forth argument so we can agree to disagree on this part of it.
They wouldnt be useless if they were buffed. They’d have their tradeoffs. APHE would still be better, but it wouldnt be such a landslide.
This is a fraction of the millions of players who play the game, I don’t think it makes a difference until its repolled.
You’re trusting Statshark to track my time when it didn’t exist in 2017.
I log in daily and have played like 10 to 20+ matches a day since 2017-2019.
The Sherman 76 should not be facing the Tiger 2 in these changes. There would be a gap between them, as there currently should be right now.
As you can see here, everyone else agrees that APHE is abusive. No one here other than you wants to make other shells as blatantly overperforming and ahistorical as APHE.
Statshark, which pulls it from Gaijin lb data. You can go check your statistics part of your profile in game and add up all the different categories of vehicles and the number will be similar.
There’s a plethora of other tanks that can replace it in this scenario.
Everyone else is about ~10 people right now. Like I said, a fraction. An extremely small one at that.
I’m sure more will disagree with me but it will still be a very small fraction.
Are you really trying to suggest I AFK’d in the hangar for 6000 hours lmfao? Gaijin’s data says my account was made in 2020, yet I have boxes and backgrounds from 2017.
Decompression. 5.7 to 8.7 is highly compressed.
Do you understand what statistical averages are? If 12 people have randomly come across my post and only 1 has disagreed with me so far, that’s a good sign that people agree more.
Its quite literally gaijin’s own numbers, its your playtime in battle.
For sure. But there’s only so much you can decompress. Stuff like 76 Jumbo, T20, M26, will never be 1.3 below a Tiger II. There are plenty more examples.
Small sample size. What was the outcome of last poll? Like 49-51? I don’t remember. But it was pretty close no? Usually people come to forum to complain, so its not surprising if most users here will agree with you.
