AP rounds over pressuring

Over the last few days I have been over-pressured by AP rounds with explosive filler, now this only seems to be happening at BR 2.7 - 4.3. Whenever I get a non penetrating hit the explosive filler rounds explode and kill my entire crew, this can happen with any gun over 40mm.

Depends on what APHE you’re referring to,

A example that you’ll find in this BR range is the SU-152’s BR-540 with 739,2g of TNT equivalent, more than usual lower caliber HE shell and more than enough to over pressure a vehicle when pierced and the fuse triggered.

not every shell can overpressure.

other than the HE shells, an APHE shell needs 150g of tnt equivalent to cause overpressure.

early rank tanks that can do this, are tanks like the P40, any italian TD with 75mm or 105mm gun, kv-2.

so yea, not that many. but if you get hit by these then ye, they will kill you with overpressure.

you arnt giving us alot of information. are you using mainly open topped vehicles? because then, ye, alot of shells, especially HE and HEAT rounds can simply overpressure you.

Yeah it is a bit odd, just more joys of the overpressure system. Ive been overpressured in the KV-220 by the 75mm gun on a Panther.

Nothing like that, its happening with ones that have around 30g-60g mostly, for example I was in my Churchill Mk 1 and the ap from the Panzer 3 f had a non pen but exploded and took out my crew.

No not open tops, Its happening in my heavies most of the time. Mostly with shells with 30-60g of tnt. That is why I’m confused, the round hits then blows like a top down attack.

replay link?

If you mean, solid shot (as in absolutely no explosive filler) you might have been overpressured by the infamous “fuel explosion” which is just a buggy and unreliable mess.
