I was wondering if there was a mode where i could crawl ,because sometimes,i need to make incremential slow moves while aiming,and well,if you just go forward,the game transmission in automatic it just jerks you forward and moving your aim.
I found on more modern tanks(at 8.0 atm) have transmission modes,and apparently you can switch transmission manually, and i tried staying in 1st and doing crawl,it works,it’s loud.
But i’m left wondering,how would i even set this up to change, the keybinds are pretty full already.
Is there anyone that has done this and can give some advice?
Even without the manual gearing selected, you can force the gears up or down by pressing the Q and E, respectively at the correct times. If you really want to use the manual gearing, just rebind the cruise control keys off of Q and E and make those your Shift Up/Down.
I only do that when I have to tow a friendly out of a hole or to set him up straight. I put it in gear 1 and start driving to get maximum power.
Ever since I started playing. As you say it offers fine control and you can hammer down on S without your tank going in reverse on accident.
If you must, bind the switch to a mouse key perhaps? You just need to get used to switching back an forth.
