Inspired by seeing this post at Anyone else miss airfield takeoffs?, the player mentioned in the post that “airfield takeoffs could be set for specific small maps.” I think this idea is great!
I’ve just started playing the Silver Lions line, progressing from World War II aircraft all the way to top-tier matchmaking. Whether it’s air combat or the crowded takeoff scenes at airfields—even with model clipping issues—I’ve had a blast with it all (≧∇≦)
From my limited personal gaming experience, small maps like “Metropolis” are perfectly suited for airfield takeoffs—it slows down the pace of the game and adds a lot of fun!
I want to express a bit of nostalgia: the pace of combat in top-tier matches is just too fast. I miss the social atmosphere of showing off skins and decals at the airfield 〒▽〒
I couldn’t find a button to post a follow-up under the original thread, so I just started a new post on the same topic instead (/▽\)
Correction: After a pleasant discussion with the group members, I believe that the default setting of leaving top-tier aircraft slots empty is quite reasonable. After all, the differences in climb performance among aircraft across all battle rating environments in the game are still quite significant. Perhaps if larger maps were introduced, more players might choose to take off from airfields. The above views are merely some of my personal nostalgic thoughts. In any case, feel free to discuss, but please avoid escalating to extreme remarks such as personal attacks. Thank you! 〒▽〒
