Anti-Cheat, Privacy, and Fair Play: Clarifying the Facts

Me when i lie.

I highly doubt anyone will be put in jail for messing with a bunch of pixels. Also, what if someone is falsely accused of cheating? How do they prove innocence if the game company accusing them is the only one with access to game files? Anyway, I feel like war thunder’s anti cheat system is good against cheating, but it definitely seems dodgy in terms of data. I did see a small review bomb go on because if it, I would like to see some clarification to see just where my data is going

People are upset about data-collecting but I for one accept the all-seeing Gaijin overlords to take all of our data and analyze them and think it should go even further if necessary. Ban all cheaters.

Not only will there still be cheaters but what then? Let them farm your data and do whatever they want with it, and all that for nothing? Might wanna think that through.

TL;DR: … (ye nothing here)

I’m an American, GDPR doesn’t apply to me. I wish it did. I would have made a complaint if GDPR applied to me. There is no data privacy law that actually protects me here. I’m arguing for the people who are lucky enough to have data privacy laws protecting them.

There is no lie in the content provided in your post.
That video showcases infinite ammo, it’s using a server replay which means the server was manipulated.

The quote is speaking about client manipulation not working, and implies server manipulation will work, which that video showcases server manipulation working.

Next you could talk about why the game still has serious bugs, performance and graphics issues when we make Gaijin earn 100million € a year.

Why cant they invest back the proper amount and fix and maintain the game?

I fully expect Gaijin to strike/ignore this video, rather than answer it. Although their idea of addressing a concern is … corporate word slop and avoiding the main issue.

Small indie company :)))))

That specific video shows a bug and not a cheat.

There was a bug where if the launcher vehicle was far enough away from the main radar and also out of line of sight then the “updates” to the ammo count weren’t sent to the main vehicle and thus not deducted from main ammo count when fired.

Yeah right, it´s a bug when it suits you.

What`s even the point of Fog-of-war? It literally makes no sense in this game. In Arcade? Maybe??? In RB and SB it has no place whatsoever. And don’t tell me that “it works just fine” no it doesn’t. Countless times I died to a tank that simply was not rendered. And even when I’m in active combat there were precedents where my enemy just stopped rendering. I can tell you an example of fighting a KPZ-70 that was partially covered by a wall at like 600m. I see him, I break his track, and he just stops rendering. I shoot him again, I set him on fire, AND I SEE FIRE BUT NOT THE TANK! And this is one of the examples that I remember clearly

See that speck of fire? That’s where KPZ is. Do you see KPZ? No you don’t, why would you see him? Even tho he can clearly see YOU through that tiny hole.

The amount of times I’ve been whacked by a dude not rendering in front of me purely due to the server either not keeping up with the clients all at once is ridiculous.

They shoot you then they appear lol, FoW is ridiculous in a PVP , team based tank game like this.
It’s literally WoT levels of nonsense which shouldn’t be happening. The more players that join as well the worse it ofc gets due to the servers being absolutely packed

Will anyone from Gaijin team ever understand that the people are angry and that is not only because of the leak scandal but on top of it they just make up excuses to cover it up? As they always do in many other issues such as balancing the game properly, fixing broken stuff and releasing half-baked vehicles and copy paste premiums.

Is it really this hard to set the greed aside for just a little while and do a proper quality check of your product and workplace?

How much money is enough Gaijin?

You need to put points into your keen vision skill.

so what you’re saying is, that person is cheating by abusing a known bug? which is cheating? making this bug a cheat? yeah? ban them and fix it.

Exploiting bugs/flaws is indeed against the rules and falls under the same category of bans as using forbidden software.

Click to reveal screenshot of the rule in the EULA (first 3 listed points are the most relevant for this topic)

Link to a player posting about being banned for things of that nature: ( Unban appeal as instructed by Gaijin Support )

It has already been fixed as shown in the bug report i linked to in that post.

And you think that’s bad… What about sound? What about hearing someone that has their gun barrel up your rear end but you still cant hear them because the game just doesn’t render them. World of Tanks wannabe aah game.

Doesn’t change anything. I have full keen vision on every crew, that stuff still happens. Keen vision is literally cope.
