What do you mean did it do anything difrent?
Like anything, did it actually say anything different in the error, or did it pop up a command window whilst starting, or anything different.
Did you check the compatibility settings of the exe to check nothing was set?
Did you also try, when you reinstalled, to put it to another folder?
Another really random one could be to delete the battleye folder in the game folder, then reverify files in the launcher.
if it really was battleye causing this, why would i have the same issues when it was easy anti cheat?
Because you may be encountering the same issue… As I said, permissions/file access issues are the common thing.
I also didn’t notice you were the one with the tree issue…
Are you the main user (Being the account on the maching, and you set up the machine) on the machine, and is it the vanilla launcher or steam that you use?
I use the steam launcher and yes i am the main user of this machine
When you made you war thunder account did you make one and then switch to steam, or have you always been a steam user created on steam?
i switched to steam in like 2019, but i started in 2017-2016
Do you know how to fire up the native launcher from in the steam folder, using your credentials to log in?
I’d close steam entirely, clear out that battleye folder, fire up the launcher, and verify files, then see if it’ll go in.
Just be sure to not have the work in progress client ticked when you do this.
Then if that doesn’t work, do it again, but running the launcher as admin.
(I’d be wondering if the install folder or the drive itself does have trouble, or if something else is interfering like discord overlay or something odd like the ATi recorder if you use ATi graphics.
Overlays in the past have done funky things)

Nah, really do clear out that battleye folder and give it a verify.
It’s more than likely a permissions issue, but seeing as you had that tree issue, I’d have to wonder whether that is related.
Well and here’s the thing. This issue only resumes once ive fully restarted my computer
When it does restart is it being started by steam or is it being started from the gaijin agent or the PC auto starting it?
Steam
Try the native launcher and enter your credentials to see if it changes it, and maybe as I said, close steam down when it starts.
Just for a few goes to see if that might kick it a bit.
