Agreed. I stopped using it at 8.3 because it ruined my 7.7/8.0 lineup.
Not gonna use it until it comes down in BR.

they rly dont need the APDS.
They can remove the APHE and give belts of half APDS and half HE and that would be fine the AP-IT and APHE is the problem.

Barrel, Track, and MG then flank and shoot the 40mm lower side armour with APHE/AP-I.

And while you concentrate on taking out all that, he mg’s your turret crew. Or before that, a bullet hits the turret basket and disabled entire turret control, because you have no armor.

I dont say its impossible. I know how to take out a T tank. But without the apds, it becomes much harder. A lower br is justified.

It’s an spaa my dude. You cannot just say people will not play it bevause it cannot kill the most armoured target at their BR.

SIDAM 25 is probably the one of the only AAs in the game that has a main belt which is absolutely useless against ground targets.

if it goes lower it fights all the 7.0-7.7 heavys

also having it at a higher BR is better bc lighter targets to shoot at.
Thats why I think they buffed the XM246.

another fun time game mechanic gaijin added that literally no one asked for. any damage to the turret basket disables ALL turret control, including the 2 nicely placed manual levers that crew could use to turn hte turret.

whaaaaat? it has a MANUAL turret traverse mechanic that could be used in case electronics failed?!

no, lets ignore that, gaijin. lets ignore the fact it has a MANUAL turret control when electronics fail.

so gaijin should add manual turret swivel, smoke shells, and a tracking radar now. and after all that, still lower its BR cause it lost the APDS

note on the left side of the turret, it had a smoke discharger fitted at the time this photograph was taken.

so even if the turret basket is struck by a shell, and the falcon loses turret control, manual traverse is still available. the falcon should never lose turret control. but due to gaijin mechanics, it does.

They won’t play it because it’s BR puts it at a disadvantage against the enemies it should be targeting - CAS. Falcon without APDS needs to drop to ~ 7.7.

I wish they would separate them. They nerf so many allied planes bullet velocity with this bias. That would effectively create multiple cones of fire depending on the type of round at longer ranges.

yes, i did good in the falcon. mainly because of the apds. can you still be good with just the aphe belt? sure. but you are by far not as effective no longer, because you need to trust on whiffing game mechanics, rather than actual shell strenght.

the apds round allowed you to push through some actual armor. and half of the tanks you encounter are russian T tanks so yes. its still mainly a ground warfare game mode. there is no air only mode where you can play as an spaa and actually perform your task. if there are a 100 enemies, and you -should- only fight 5 of them, thats just boring gameplay, my toxic friend. you are basically telling people, go play a tank, that is not allowed to shoot other tanks, even tho they are going to be the majority of your targets. we will not allow you to be effective towards the majority of the targets you are going to encounter, just because the majority of your encounters complained you were effective gainst them.

this game, by far, no longer has historical accuracy in mind. because its a game. games should be fun. and as a game, they should balance stuff for fun. the fun of the game needs to take president over reality. the CA Lorraine having only 2kmh reverse, where its a literal 1 on 1 hull copy of the lorraine 40t, gearbox included, but some randomite says it has documents where its not, you need to think about the game over reality. and nerfing every spaa that is effective at its job, just because tank players are unable to counter a tank that has literal zero armor, because they dont know how to aim for the hundred of parts that an spaa has that would disable it, it should simply not be allowed.
