gaijin. why do you continue to do unsophisticated moves like this? spaa’s are not fun to use in half of the time the match is going on. cause there isnt anything to shoot at. so there are times, where an spaa will be used as a tank destroyer. however, if you remove its capacity to be an effective tank destroyer, you remove half the fun of the vehicle. it will be used less. people will use spaa’s less if you continue to nerf them. so why do you keep pulling uneducated moves like this?
do your job as a spaa not as a tank detroyer. simple to understand no ?
aphe i can understand, but why remove the apds???
you obviously dont use spaa’s then. if there is nothing in the sky to shoot at, you are just bored. you dont get points. so you need to shoot at alternative targets. like ground targets. which are plentiful. but if you remove its capacity to shoot the ground targets, you remove half the fun.
that’s great change people abusing AA to kill tanks instead of killing enemy planes they should remove all APHE rounds from all AA and lower the cost of AA spawn !
8.3+ is full of AA spam which ruined the gameplay
you dont fix this problem by nerfing their ability to not hurt ground targets. that will still get them picked less, because nobody wants to pick their nose half of the match maybe waiting for that one air target to spawn. im an spaa main. i understand the frustration of sitting on spawn the entire match, sometimes not having even a single enemy plane spawning in. cause realistic is boring like that. in arcade, there is plenty of air targets to shoot at, cause they are free to spawn in. but in realistic, you cant exactly main spaa.
hold on they didnt jusy leave you with only he. you got ap.
So that means they are dropping the BR?
Cuz that’s the only reason Falcon is at 8.3. Without APDS it should be ~ 7.7
Big drop in pen though…
SAP-I/SAP-I/SAP-I/HEI-T 53 50 42 34 27 21
The AP rounds have more than enough pen to take out tanks. Anti air vehicles dont need APDS.
Thats a good amount of pen still. And its SAP so it has a good amount of HE filler. Go for cupola and weakspots…
oh really? you think the apcr belt of the r3 t20 at br 6.0 can take on tiger 2’s? this thing doesnt even receive apds like the amx 10p, yet gaijin somehow thinks it should be at 6.0. 57 apcr pen is laughable. this shell doesnt even pen 30mm of armor if its even slightly angled. gaijin has a history of nerfing vehicles to the ground. be it overtiering them, nerfing the rounds they use. any way to make them less viable on the battlefield. because people complaint they are too strong. they arnt too strong. they literally ahve no armor to work with.
half of this game is about hide and seek. you hide your presence. so you can kill your enemies better. that doesnt mean the vehicle is good. the player is. but it helps if the vehicle you use is actually capable of killing enemy tanks it encounters. the apds round. the singular, apds round in a belt of 4 shells, allows the falcon and DCA to do this.
If you compare this to other SPAAs now then the falcon should 100% move down:
for refrence the ZSU-37-2 is currently at 7.7 with a radar and 86mm of pen vs
Falcon which has no tracking or search radar and now 53mm of pen sitting at a BR of 8.3
this is nuts gaijin…
yes. this will basically turn the falcon into something thats hardly better than an m163. but they dont talk about reducing its br. they just remove its most capable belt.
The R3 T20 is an extremely good anti air. It should be in 6.0 purely for that reason. Lets put the pantsir in 1.0 it cant even kill leopards frontally with its gun!
The R3 T20 is way faster than the AMX and can still pen a decent amount of tanks. Just because it cant pen one of the heaviest tanks in the br range doesnt mean its bad…
The Maus is 7.7 and the ZA35 is 8.7
The ZA35 should therefore move below 6.7 because it cant pen Maus!
See how weird your argument is?
no, this is you trying to ridicule my point through straw man fallacy. you distort the original point, because you dont care about spaa’s. you just dont want to get killed by autocannons any more.
I care about spaa’s quite literally the reason why im trying to get every spaa in every tree i play. I just dont believe SPAA should be better at killing tanks than planes. SPAA’s should only have the ability to disable tanks or kill with very precisely aimed shots. Having tiny vehicles zooming around with 10x better reaction time than you is very annoying.
Don’t get me wrong - I’m fine with the removal of the APDS.
I was just pointing out it’s a significant nerf. Which should be accompanied by a reduction of the BR.
86mm of pen with an AP-t round that has zero HE filler in a slow fat big chassis.
the falcon has neither speed not armor, or a radar, which is already standard for spaa’s beyond br 7.7. it literally has nothing else to fall back to. the one apds round in its belt is its only ability to have fun on an otherwise boring match.
the DCA is neither armor or is stabilized. it has a radar which improves its spaa capabilities, but its not perfect. compared to the marksman, which is stabilized, has atleast 40 full apds belt to work with. up to 120 shells if you use the ammo boxes. you want to nerf that as well? dont give spaa’s ammo boxes any more because they can resupply mid match?
you obviously miss the point. nerfing the anti tank capability of an spaa comes with severe concequences to its playability. players want to have fun playing vehicles. they dont ahve fun playing them, they are picked less. if less people pick spaa’s, you will get just another load of complaints about too much cas.
the m163 is hardly picked, because the rotary autocannon hardly has any pen. its not a fun vehicle to use, unless you are severely depressed and bored in real life. you are not gonna wait until that one plane spawns in.
the other option is picking spaa after your main vehicle died. what did your main vehicle die to? to CAS that you could have taken out with spaa. which you wernt at that time. its a continued paradox. one that can easily be solved, by making more players play spaa, that is having dual functionality.
