We do not need the shrinking of maps at top tier, let alone any tier.
Not every tank is a light tank. Not every tank is a heavy tank.
This change was extremely odd given that it only happens on one side.
Granted, there is a spot on the hill that can be used to spawn supervise, but that isnt 1/6 of the map size. That’s maybe 1 grid square on the very bottom corner.
This game has plenty of CQB maps but not enough large open maps like Fulda. I think a nice mix would be beneficial to the playerbase and the health of ground RB. Not everyone likes small maps and not everyone likes large maps.
I think the community should be the ones voting for map changes or potential map changes.
I understand making a change for the health of a map like Mozdok but this situation seems to be awkward and different
Good, I can’t use that route to spawn camp the south side spawns anymore.
Map is balanced for both sides for now.
Whether or not Gaijin can fix the South-East side later we’ll see.
I’d rather be spawncamped then have a T-80 or BMP-2M sitting in a tree line with their engine off, bushed up, and blending in to kill me halfway in transit to the capture point.
And in Air AB they are moving the spawns so far back for props now it’s not worth playing . . . these are spawn points for much more modern jets, not mid tier props.
And it does nothing but waste our time and nerf all scoring potential . . really bad decisions going on in many places . . . it’s pretty sad actually
I wish they did that for air RB. The maps feel painfully small and restricted for flying without things turning into a furball (although part of that is more the positioning of groundstrike objectives concentrating players, but still it’s kind of stupid I can be within gun-range of enemy fighters a mere 2-3 minutes after take off, less on Mozdok and Ladoga.)
Waste of resources to create a map then to turn around and butcher it. Is the snail even testing these maps? Maybe a little more effort towards better designed maps that can satisfy a larger part of the player base instead of wasted time and resources on UI changes that nobody wanted and that appeals to a very few if any. There are some great maps in the game but we need more of them across all tiers, especially the higher br brackets.

Horizontal sound (when far away and low) is the only way to hear planes now. If above you, you can’t tell what direction, I don’t know how they can’t figure out what many other games have been able to solve.
When northern spawn had the best defensives positions and southern had to actually work on a way to a better long offensive position. It’s same-same, now northern spawn has better defensive positions towards south-east side.
The update also makes most insignificant objects like the cargo train get called out by the commander when you range find, if you range find any part of the container on the train the commander will “target, tank”, and container seems indestructible now by most ammunitions.
It needed a rework due to it having some good spawn camping spots, as well as poorly placed mud and spawn points. It also was made alot worse due to Gaijin being bad at making tanks have traction.
It introduced a bunch of bugs, now holding W or D will result in the vehicle to skip one frame lol feels like engine misfire for one second, they also changed the sound again! now engine sounds different at idle and also at a different rpm range, mostly noticeable in soviet vehicles mainly the T-54-T62s where it sounds like it’s always a red line even when the gear is already switched to the max, I mean your vehicle hadn’t even reached top speed how does it sound like you are in the first gear and your are redlining but you are at 5th gear?
Also post update some objects won’t show up in CDK and sometimes scrolling past certain objects will result in screen breaking. When I think I get used to the crappy sound then they introduce another version which is even crappier. I’ve put the Object 140 on hold for a reason.
reducing traction penalties and slapping some rocks around Carpathians style probably didn’t validate it being taken away for years. I never got to play it but it is absolutely better than 60% of the current maps
Literally been years at this point, I doubt it’s coming back, just like the weekly decal thing.
Otherwise that’s an obscenely slow development time, although it wouldn’t surprise me seeing they needed over a year to implement that garbage RP thing.
