Agreed, people bomb bases because it’s easy. I too bomb bases, it’s free RP. After that I go kill the premium phantoms who have no idea how to play.

Strike aircraft are there to ground pound. If fighters can do that better while being much better at A2A, then what’s the point of strikers ?
It’s like if you have AAs being able to kill tanks just as easily as TDs, while being much better at engaging planes as well.
At least TDs wouldn’t be limited to 4 enemies (bases), so current situation is even worse.
My initial point was that just because fighters carrying bombs interferes with the gameplay of strike aircraft isn’t a reason to ban bombs from fighters. Sure it’s inconvenient to them, but that’s just the game. It’s never perfect.
In the current state of the game yes it is a perfect reason.
That’s like you support lower tier bombers to larp as fighters “just because they want to”.
Some boundaries have to be set.
But more importantly it is label as “fighter” in the game just like the F-4, so he really can’t blame other for too go in bombing base
What boundaries? ban anything that annoys you? If players want to larp as fighters with bombers that’s up to them.
Do you see there where it says it is designed as a ground attack version?

Thanks for the extra info and correction about Air SB.
Maybe I only saw some extreme comments about the bombing in air-SB and got frightened.
It made me unsure about trying Air SB at all. :|
Well… Some of those comments I saw before sounded like “bombing or PVE things in war thunder is a sin. Because this game is PVP. Leave. Air SB isn’t your place.”

Also underpowered engine/ airframe??? It’s one of the best for the BR. Climb to 5k and you will reach Mach 1.4 easily.
Developed from a airframe which doesn’t do well in CAS and you expect it will do well? And my point is I don’t care what role it designed for IRL but in the game it had labeled as a “fighter”
It’s limitation, is referring to the Mirage III’s short operating range, which doesn’t affect the Kfir because it was upgraded. You don’t care? then why post here anyway? Gaijin lists the F-15 as a strike aircraft, should people use it only for bombing?
Thats not why they are bombing. They are bombing to grind. No one enjoys spawning flying low and bombing a base only to then die when you try to actually help the team.
90% of players with premium aircraft bombing bases are doing it to level the aircraft for ground battles.
In air RB? I thought they patched out rocket bombing.
I don’t disagree with you. It’s as you say, they are using it to level because it’s more a more enjoyable way to reach their goal than grinding through 30 planes they don’t care about. I am a prime example. I am already top tier in 3 nations, and then they added the Rafale, one of my favourite planes IRL. I wanted to fly it but couldn’t care less about the lower BR planes. I already have to ones I want in the US and Israel trees. So I fly the Mirage F1C premium and bomb bases with it. I still have a positive KD of almost 2 to 1 and I get the added bonus of free RP when I bomb a base. It’s faster and fun. Why wouldn’t I do it?
They nerfed the rocket damage but some F4’s can still carry enough rockets to destroy a base so people use it.
No one is saying you shouldn’t do it, just it doesn’t progress the game.
This is no fault of you the player, but the game design intolerable grind and the map design.
Agreed. But as long as the game is the way it is people are going to bomb. I’m not saying you do it but the reason I’m here debating is because some players are giving others a hard time for bombing when the game encourages them to bomb.
Ban anything that isn’t balanced.
It’s not up to them if it messes with the game balance.
Having no boundaries has led to ARB being a cesspool that it is today.
Just because it’s faster and fun for you, doesn’t mean it’s fair for others around you.
