It may say in the suggestion rules that unfinished vehicles are fair game for suggestions, but the only examples of unfinished vehicles being implemented in recent times are ships, which also follow special rules.
Their actual stance on unfinished vehicles seems to be that they are only being added if absolutely necessary. And strictly speaking, the Panther II and Coelian were unfinished vehicles as well.
Doubling down on removing vehicles that could’ve been is a terrible design decision. I know the audiant ones out there will blast me for saying it straight but there is no reason to do it if the game already has what mounts to hundreds of testbeds that were never meant to see combat. If you can susbend your disbelief in this game for this reason and plenty others like seeing nations during ww2 that weren’t there then what’s the issue with vehicles that existed in concept and were much more likely to see combat given they had time? The never existed policy is empty & terrible and it’s just there to bring down what could be very fun and unique vehicles so there’s no need to design anything new for the game.
Also what’s with the recent trend of adding vehicles that were only captured but never actually used? Kungstiger didn’t need to exist and it opens a door for a lot of mess and you can’t even make the argument that it’s there to fill in gaps for the nation when it’s a BP premium. Where’s the german and italian captured IS-2? How about you give me a russian abrams or a leopard? What’s the issue? These were all held by the forementioned nations.
I know Gaijin doesn’t care neither do they actually read all the way down here, but hey, at least you have your replacement 7.7 american copy paste jet :)
Mr. @Smin1080p_WT, will there be a real Japanese plane in place of R2Y2? But do I have to settle for copy-pasting planes from Thailand that aren’t even suitable replacements for R2Y2?
I wouldn’t say that. Thailand strengthens Japanese CAS, but not on Br 8.0. You could say by example that they are removing a heavy cruiser and offering a weaker light cruiser instead. this is a poor exchange. The F-84G is not a replacement for the R2Y2. It’s a different category of plane
