You know, there doesn’t have to be a vehicle of every “class” at every battle rating. There is nothing wrong with a nation lacking a fighter at a specific BR.
Yeah, Japan at 8.0 won’t really have anything. Only thing I could really think of for that would be an Indonesian Hawk 53.
But I think that’d be a good replacement either way, offering something at 8.0 air so you’re not forced to uptier anything when playing with others at 8.0 and probably being better than the R2Y2s for GRB lineups.
Did they say anything about removing the Ho-Ri Production? That’s as fake as you get.
They said they’d be removed someday, I’m assuming it will be the shortly after thai subtree like the R2Y2s.

I truly wish you were right because this would greatly simplify the debate about which nations have viable tech trees and wether they need to be padded with foreign vehicles or not.
Honestly would be better if Gaijin just replaced the current Ho-Ri Production with the design that actually existed. The Ho-Ri irl had 2 designs, the Ho-Ri I that resembled a Ferdinand and the Ho-Ri II that resembled a Jagdtiger. There is some small evidence to suggest the Ho-Ri I was possibly made at the very end of the war, but nothing concrete.
The current design we have is supposed to resemble like a “Ho-Ri III”, but that design was completely made up. Made no sense for Gaijin to choose that made up design when 2 others were known to have existed at that point.
fellas I grinded for 3-4 days with the J6K1 and now i have V1 and V2 and put research points into V3 so this entire conversation is abundant for me. I would suggest for you all who want it to do the same as long as it is still there
It is not. From document we know that 5 non-completed hulls got 50% of ready. No concrete what variant of Ho-Ri it was but because of existing the Ho-Ri II blueprints and easier design similar to Chi-Ri, mostly that hulls were Ho-Ri II
Honestly I’m interested in the Ho-Ri II being added to the game.
Hm… they want to remove one type of aircraft and what a fuss there is about it… well, I’m also playing Japanese machines now, so I can at least have a V1 in my collection… :-)))
I don’t think anyone’s complaining.
This is only 1 variant of the Ho-Ri. There were 3 In total.
Same rules as the Maus or any vehicles of the sort->1 rp into it=safe from being hidden. Though honestly Gaijin should just be hiding V2 and V3 not V1.
It’s because the R2Y2 V1 has historical proof of being possible to build since very little between the propeller R2Y1 and R2Y2 V1 were different, and the engines were already being produced. Peoples counterargument is that it wasn’t mounted, however that’s only cause we do not have documentation of it ever been mounted nor pictures which wasn’t too surprising considering by this time it was far harder to document everything with the only documentation we know of was a napkin of the jet engines being planned or possibly mounted.
By “The Ho-Ri” I presume they are referring to the version that ended up reaching the prototype stage. The other two are acknowledgeable but due to never progressing past the drawing board/scale model phase they are irrelevant for the game’s purposes.
@Stona_WT I assume that if I have the aircraft fully researched, but not bought it will still remain available for me
That is correct, any amount of research into the vehicles will keep it in your inventory, similar to when Maus returns annually.
yes, even if it is not fully research, you need at least 1 rp point, and you can finish it anytime.
