And the winner is...

I’ve been playing WT in and out since 2014.
I have always been a flyboy so most of that time was spent playing with props and jets.
As top tier jets aren’t my thing because the grind takes too much time and it’s quite a matter of my radar being more powerful that yours and my missile has more range than yours, I have more fun with those early jets from Korea and Nam wars.

So I went and decided to try some other thing and went for tanks. In tanks you don’t have that boring time trying to get altitude like in prop planes (in jets it doesn’t apply much because of their speed), on tanks sniping (too much of it) sometimes kills the purpose of the battle which are the zones, but sometimes it’s just that, choosing a nice spot to kill the guy that appears on your sight.

As I went along progressing on the BR (so far my maximum it’s 6.7) I’ve realized that tanks unfortunately as history tells in some of the great battles like Kursk, Yom Kippur, Gulf war and so on are not the masters of the battlefield as planes are not the ones too, but SPAA’s are.

A SPAA can shred a plane so easily that makes CAS mostly derisory due in part to the nature of maps that are too small with the SPAAs taking their toll right from the spawn point to… were ever they go. Now, I understand that it’s a tanks world but even so it’s a bit too much of a beating to anyone up in the air.

But what about on the ground? Just the same against a tank. It doesn’t matter if it’s a light tanks or a heavy tank. If you meet one of those SPAAs somewhere on the map, you’ll get killed in no time, not to mention that in some cases a direct hit on their main turret does… nothing, they’re almost immune.

So there you have, a fast nimble SPAA shredding everything on their path like butter.

I wonder why most countries just didn’t make in vast numbers and skip the main tanks, after all they are the ones keeping the skies and ground clear of any threat (specially the Russian ones) and proving that all the history books are wrong.

I know that it’s a game, but so it is for main tanks.

Well done boys!

Please. For 90% of BRs, the CAS are stronger than the SPAA and can operate with just a small amount of skill to dodge AA fire.

Sure, if you had been talking about 8.3-9.7 gun SPAAG, but you’re talking about WW2 SPAAG, which do not have these qualities.

I play both mobile and regular War Thunder, in which case the following details a mobile battle of mine. A few weeks ago, I was in my Leopard 2 PL, going for the A point, when I come across either a Kugelblitz or Weirbelwind, remember this is at top tier, and as I’m attacking this thing with my tank positioned with its front facing the SPAA, it releases a burst of rounds that somehow DESTROY a Leopard 2, I remember seeing the killcam, and my cupola is magically overpressure by a singular round, IN AN MBT.

That’s just Gaijin catering to part of their player base (NSDAP lovers)

Failed art school bias

Yeah, it is absolutely ridiculous how OP Germany is, all their stuff needs to go up a minimum of 0.3, and I mean. Every. Single. Thing. Well, minus reserve tanks, but that’s a given.

I’ll be fair, it feels like all of the big three have bias more or less, of course since this is what makes them money, but I enjoy playing minor nations, for example, I play Israel sometimes, and in the past 11 months, they have gotten ground vehicles, and no rank IX aircraft

Welcome to APHE. That is the only source of the issue you are describing. Not major nations, not spaa vs other afvs, but the crazily overtuned post penetration damage of APHE.

fakour best missile confirmed?
