You might remember how good it was back when it was added, but top tier was 10.0 back then, and it was 8.3
I just reached the AMX 30 area of the french tech tree and was reminded of the existence of this tank (which i barely see anymore) and wondered if i should get it in the upcoming sales
armor is paper-thin (it’s an AMX-30 afterall), but the stabilizer is definitely a welcome addition. but I haven’t played it in a while, so I am unsure if it is somewhat viable in its current environment
Did it always have such severe tunnel vision in the gunner view? When testing it it felt like I was looking through a pirate scope, and I have a feeling it might effect performance
yeah, the sight was already a small issue. if you’re sufficiently aware it shouldn’t too much of a bother, as ideally you’d only be scoped in when you’ve already acquired a target
Honestly it’s the most interesting option for grinding anything near top tier France, the VBCI has the bushmaster which makes it meh, and I wouldn’t spend a penny on a leopard premium for the French tree (how hard is it for the devs to give France French designs)
And If you’re going to want to play 9.3 for a while, the super’s mobility makes it so much more enjoyable than the AMX-32-105

Yes, still a solid vehicle; good mobility and gun. Has thermal imaging device and stabilizer—in a french vehicle—is by far one of my favourite vehicles to play, although it won’t give you access with full research point rewards efficiency at rank VIII, it still can be useful if you not want to play at higher battle ratings with the Leopard 2A4 (OTCo).
