The AMX-30 S DCA is a french SPAA sitting at a Br of 8.7, it recently got its APDS belt removed. This made it about 70% worse since the APDS was the only thing that made it good, now its just a un-stabilized SPAA with sloppy 30mm cannons
sitting at the same Br it was before.
For example, the ItPsV Leopard also sits at a Br of 8.7 but it is fully stabilized and has a leopard 2A4 chassis, this not only makes it have good survivability on the hull but since the turret is much lighter - the tank is much faster, giving it a power to weight ratio of 35 hp/t. SAME BR AS THE AMX S 30 DCA
So what would be a good Br for the DCA?
I was thinking 8.0 - 8.3, since it isnt stabilized and has a worse gun than the other 35mm SPAA
Yeah thats it, bye

The APDS was mostly good to fight russian tanks and pen the side armor of them, that the SAPHE can’t. The issue is that the guepard/ITPSV 35mm cannon SAPHE is way more powerful, you can kill russian tanks instantly in cupola shoot, while the 30mm does less damages.
This change is needed because it’s bad for a 8.7 AA, and worse than guepards in anti-tank now. The canon spacing of the AMX S 30 DCA makes anti-tank fights easier while guepards give advantage in urban combat because you can peek with one canon that gives tiny exposition.
It probably can, T-series only have a 20mm plate angled to about 30* at the bottom of the side armour, giving it around the same side protection as an Ariete (although only on the lower quarter of the side rather then the whole thing) unless you are shooting down on it from an elevated position SAP will still go through out to a few hundred meters .
