In war thunder the AMX-13 has a reload of 5 seconds between rounds, in real life the AMX-13 had a reload of 2-4 seconds. I get that reload is also a balancing mechanic for gaijin but the AMX-13 could really benefit from a 3 or 4 second reload rate, currently the tank is mediocre at best and deserves a buff.
Reload rates are a balancing tool, as long as it’s longer than the IRL achievable reload times then it’s up to the developers to set reloads for balance.
If you want to discuss a specific vehicle then do that in the thread for that vehicle (or if there isn’t one you can create one).

Somewhat, as i understand it the devs aim for having the real reload rates for autoloaders but can put them slower if they think it’s needed for balance (but not faster). At least as far as i understand it.
They did talk about some of it a bit here: Revising the Rate of Fire of the T-64, T-80, Т-72, ZTZ96, ZTZ99 Series and VT4, VT4A1 Tanks
They stated it was understood that it was a balancing tool. But this is not a balanced position for it compared to the competition. It is forgotten, not left so because “it’s balanced”.
