Ammo crates dont add!

Ammo crates have no business in the game that is supposed to use realistic models.

I‘m in favor of a reload in the spawn area and on the capture points, but not through player placed ammo boxes.

This allows people to reduce their internal amount of ammo at the start of the game even more and makes ammo hits even more difficult.

There is certainly a strategic gameplay element that would be killed with player provided ammo boxes.

I rather fun over realistic, imagine if they implement barrel collision because, realistic bro, how annoying would that be?

You could add a building in the spawn area that provides a reload when parked next to it.

You could also implement a mechanic where you “call” an AI truck that needs a minute to drive up to you and then reload you.

There are so many better ways to implement a reload mechanic than a player controlled “ammo box”.

If I want to play Battlefield, CoD or Enlisted where I drop ammo boxes, then I’ll play them, but leave that sort of stuff in the arcade part and not the “realistic” battle.

The fundamental problem is in the outdated, almost 10 year old game modes we have. The mode was fine for beta testing tanks, but it overstayed its welcome by at least 5 years now. The graphics are like from a AAA game now. The vehicle models are, I dare to say, best of any game I know. The game modes though? Worse than early access game, it still feels like playing a beta version, or a demo…

I like the new mechanic, but we need complete restructuralization of all game modes.

About the mechanic, deployment should not be free to prevent abuse or spam. It should cost like 5k SL to deploy the crate, but the player would then get assists on each kill provided with the resupplied ammo.

Instead of light tanks pooping out a crate, I could see some classes getting a button that will switch you over to a supply helicopter or a plane, which you fly yourself similiar to the drone and you drop an ammo crate yourself.

There should also be a restriction to deploy the crate in the spawn zone to prevent SPAA camping in the spawn zone forever. SPAA, which is not moving along with their team, is a detriment to the team and I will die on this hill.

i feel like pantsir would benefit the least because it already has so many missiles that you never run out, while spaa with only 4 or 8 missiles will make the biggest difference

Almost like it’s the only thing that equalises the playing field between CAS and SPAA…

CAS can just ignore everything else.

Could have easily put a limit to ammo spawn if that was the issue., not like it wouldn’t get bombed pretty quickly tho.

CAS mains: “hey hey hey hey hey we spent 800sp, that’s why we have every right to be untouchable bro we’ve earned it!!, 70sp can kill us?? No way bro you are nutz if you think that’s fair!”

They are needed for some vehicles like the spaa’s ( ahem m247) and anti-tank missile carriers

You mean sweden, italy and usa has best CAS in game, especially in top tier

Double the amount of HE-VT lol whenever the M247 is present I see helicopters dropping like flies.

it only gets to carry half of its ammo as the he-vt rounds so it would make sense

How do you get them? Do you build them yourself?

a fob at the spawn point with the possibility that it will be destroyed by the air vector

yep thats how it looks to be

I disagree, what videogame costs you in-game currency to resupply yourself? I don’t want to the awful SL economy to creep back. I do agree that the game modes are ancient and outdated and it’s about time Gaijin reboots the game but that isn’t it.

They could’ve simply put resupply stations in the spawns, a trip back to base to rearm like aircraft has to would have been a good enough solution, and it shouldn’t cost a single silver lion.

That is the entire point of the crate, some SAMs are completely out of action after they run out of ammo, and risking going out to a capped point is borderline impossible and way too risky in some maps. Sorry, but this is what everybody has been asking for ages.

Or i enjoy actually having ammunition in my DAMN LVKV 42 any help towards this thing is very much apprichiated

What happens when you only have one base to capture?

What about for super immobile vehicles?

How about being spawn camped while in a spaa?

Aircrafts being able to swarm the battlefield from the safety of their airfields is ok, but God forbids SPAA could have the same for them?
