2S38 is a light tank, not SPAA.
You’re right, the games have evolved a lot since then.
Personally, I am not against the idea even if I would not be a customer. There has to be fun for everyone.
Unfortunately even with that many people will continue to complain. Because I think a lot of people are just consumed by grind grind grind and never think about having fun in the present moment.
Honestly, after BR 8.0 it’s the least fun part of the game, regardless of the mode, plane or not.
I’ve been playing since 2013, I have lots of top tier, almost all the store premiums and lots of events etc etc and yet where I have the most fun is in Italian 3.7 for example recently.
Well, this is just my opinion, but I think the fun problem is deeper than a “simple” CAS problem.
Matchmaker might prioritize queue times over number of players in a given match, so you might be getting 8v8 much more often than 16v16.
My only wish that it wasn’t just the random ammo crate in the middle of the field, but something bigger, solid, easier ID for both user and enemies (as counterplay). Maybe something like a 3x3 box pile walled off by logs to give it some structure and covered by camo netting
Yeah it’s a light tank, that gets a proximity fuzes and an IRST that gives it a firing solution against planes….
So it can play as an SPAA without any of the drawbacks that an actual SPAA has like limited AP capacity, and all of the ability.

Bruh that will actually suck… The other not even you have to pay 12,000 something silver lions for your shells (which the military covers it). Now there adding crates? What’s next re-fueling your tanks at the gas station?

In my experience, those who campaign most fiercely for this are new players, who we don’t see again 6 months later. Maybe that’s why it keeps coming back…
And on the contrary to this argument there is also the fact that the games have evolved a lot since then in terms of vehicles and therefore the question can be asked again

It doesn’t have SP cost of SPAA and since it’s tagged as a light vehicle, it isn’t a premium SPAA.
Well we are playing a multiplayer game every kill you get means someone else got killed
But cas is a big problem becouse unless you play aa there is nothing you can do against cas unless you Play bellow 4.7 or get lucky. So atlest Spaa needs to be able to perform it’s job and not just die to planes it cant even reach
And it’s not fun to die to something you can’t Control
/Almost has fun has dying to cheater’s that Shoot you trough several forests

And you can always spawn a plane and destroy him/sarcasm

Previously 10km spaa worked Very well but now with the F-16c and the planes added since then. the pantsir and the tor m1 are the only good Sam systems the rest is just free food for any half good cas player
But again there are both old and new players
Even Content Creators asking for Historical br:s which I personally think is a much weirder Demand given it would only give the big 2 maybe 3 nations a blast while anything else is pretty much useless
Strv 122 vs t55/t62 with slat/cage/Armor (kontact 1-5/relic) sounds Very fun

For the rest I honestly don’t know, it was just my opinion. We should try the experience again, it can only be positive.
In any case, there are plenty of things to review in terms of gameplay and game mode.
We hope one day to see a major update with no new vehicles and only improvements related to gameplay and game modes

You’re right they are broken, broken as in they don’t work at all and we only get 4 of them on most vehicles that carry them. We deserve the ability to carry more of them.
