What is the reason that the BMP-2 and BTR-80 are limited to 250 rounds of APDS ammunition while they can hold 500 rounds for other types of ammunition?

This doesn’t only effect certain USSR vehicles. There are many vehicles spread out through all the factions that have similar restrictions.

I think what happend is when Otomatic was just added and it was a lot powerful back then and devs didn’t like than so they limited ammo capacity and just forgot about that

Gaijin doesnt care about accuracy, theyll only acept your bug report if it allows them to maintain or move a vehicle to a br they like. Why do you think vehicles like the mcs has a 6.0 second reload while having the exact same autoloader as the leclerc. Its so they can have it sit at 10.7 to fill the 10.7 line up.

Don’t know specifically for those vehicles, but sometimes different ammo’s are different sizes, other times “real life” allows only limited amounts - eg some of the AAA’s mentioned have smaller secondary magazines for limited amounts of self defence ammo - AFAIK you COULD load APDSFS into the “main” magazine, but that isn’t how it is fielded.
Of course this “realism” is often selective - for AAA it’s to stop people using them as tank hunters - in may other cases ther seems no attempt at realistic loadouts!!
Likely a barrel wear concern if it’s in the manual. Which is a solid fair enough.

The vastly superior Desert Warrior is 10.0.
If people are allowed to complain about the fox im allowed to complain about the stupidity of keeping a tank that fast with a 4 second autoloader and fire on the move atgms at a br lower than a desert warrior… Do you know how sad the warrior is when its a worse variant sat at a higher br due to TOW - 2B’s? The bmd shouldnt be sat at 9.3 at the very least and be 9.7 along with the bmp 3. Both should be 10.0 imo.
