Today, I am presenting a new prototype of a French aircraft. For once, it is not a seaplane, but a fighter: the Amiot S.E.C.M. 110 C1.
In the mid-1920s, the French Air Force General Staff issued specifications for a new fighter aircraft. One of the main requirements was the use of an all-metal airframe, which offered greater structural strength and durability compared to the wood-and-fabric construction commonly used at the time.
Amiot and S.E.C.M. joined forces to develop a suitable aircraft and produced a prototype designated the 110 C1, with the “C1” designation referring to its single-seat fighter configuration. The aircraft made its maiden flight in 1928 and was subsequently presented to the public at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, where it attracted considerable attention.
A series of flight tests followed, including several trials designed to evaluate the aircraft’s structural strength and behavior at high speeds. Among them were dive tests intended to determine how well the airframe could withstand the stresses encountered during steep dives.
Unfortunately, these trials would ultimately bring the program to an abrupt end. During one of the test flights, the sole prototype crashed with its pilot on board, resulting in the loss of both the aircraft and its pilot. With no other prototypes available, the Amiot S.E.C.M. 110 C1 project was abandoned, marking the end of this short-lived fighter program.
This aircraft has an interesting feature: its fuel is stored in an external, jettisonable, wing-shaped tank located just behind the landing gear.

The aircraft is powered by a single 500 hp Hispano-Suiza 12 engine, enabling it to reach a top speed of 290 km/h and a service ceiling of 8,000 m. It has a range of 500 km.
The crew consists of a single pilot.
Weapons
The aircraft’s armament is notably simple, comprising solely two nose-mounted 7.7 mm Vickers machine guns for engaging enemy aircraft.
In the game, this aircraft would make a fine addition as a reserve plane in the tech tree, offering a small, lightly armed aircraft that nonetheless features a metal structure providing adequate protection for the pilot.
