Why would you want a bad aircraft?
Remember when people all cried about the F-14A IRIAF going to US cause it had R-27Rs?
I advocated that the F-14 is a famously American aircraft
Also, the Su-27 we have doesn’t have any ability to carry weapons, that was scathed before we acquired it, which was from Ukraine
America does not need the 4477th Soviet test aircraft, America has one of the strongest top tier lineups already, alongside Russia and all the other countries that have their own aircraft. If you want the Su-27 in the US TT, would you like the Tomcat in the Russian tree, alongside Ukrainian F-16s and Abrams, Leopards, and Bradleys?
I would rather the HAVE X aircraft be made event for Russia later on, whenever we’re up to stuff like the Berkut. America could have the lesser HAVE Xs, like “Doughnut” (MiG-21).
America could also have the Moldovan Fulcrums, as the MiG-29 is not as big of a TT aircraft now as it used to and we acquired a considerable amount of armed MiG-29s (21 total)

wouldnt call it a hunk of junk. it did what it was supposed to do fairly well. its just that we thought it did a whole lot more than that.

Have you seen any american aircraft start to resemble su-27? No? Well, yes. Because it’s just a pile of garbage with some pylons for trashcans.
Well they can have a bradley, but it’s the only vehicle they got in operational state AFAIK.
I think Russia has captured mostly intact Abrams and Leos but I’m not 100% sure
