welp. Israel one still will be better in AIR modes. US one in ground. seems fair. even if US will be a bit better - let US have THEIR jet better, than copy-paste in other TT’s

Was planning on putting a Tali on Ra’am, grinding ace crew and making it a forever fixture in my lineup.

Been over this already, there shouldn’t be a strictly better airframe, if the israeli one has extra flares while the US one doesn’t then that simply isn’t enough of a justification to remove a major portion of the Ra’am’s ability to counter threats in ground. They should simply be made equal excluding the flares since that’s a historical difference.
Same, it’s probably my second favourite aircraft after the Eurofighter and I only want the best for it since I am finally going to be able to play the modern aircraft I downloaded the game hoping for in the future, I reckon it might be modified up to current standards since there isn’t really any justification for splitting it into multiple variants. Plus there is still the Sufa to come after it so maybe it will stay as a singular variant.

Has there been any official word on the whole TGP situation? Feels odd to give them a lesser option when better options are available.
Except that the 15E is significantly better in ground while the 15I is only slightly better in air.

:sigh: You do not Need to have the better variant, the Ra’am is one of, if not Israel’s most iconic aircraft, being used extensively from the point of introduction and performing a major role in plenty of campaigns, it’s simply greedy to request the the US receive a variant of the F-15E that’s definitively better just because of this preconceived notion that the exporter should always have the final say, US mains obviously have the most say in the balancing decisions and often can just speak with their wallets in order to demand changes, Us israeli players have no such authority and as such have to hope and pray for a competent platform, something we have only recently received as of the last major update.
Now I do honestly hope you get your uprated engines but I cannot stand for the cries wanting the US to have a variant that blows ours out of the water.

You can still carry 6x 65D or 2x 65G on the wing pylons while being able to carry A2A missiles. The 15I can only carry 2x LGBs on the wing pylons if it wants to carry A2A missiles on that pylon too.
So far mavs are far more useful than LGBs when dealing with enemy SPAA.

Have you EVER tried to compete with long range SAMs (like pantsir) without a stand-off missile or powered bomb, I doubt it with your attitude since Paveways simply don’t provide the capability required to deal with anti-air, same applies for the GBU-15 since they have limited the supersonic GBU drops from most NATO platforms, it has become nearly impossible to cope without a weapon like the Maverick

Mav’s are a game changer. Even to this day I often drop Barak for Netz in my lineup to get that capability back.

I would do some insane things for the ability to carry even 2 mavericks on the Barak II (F-16D anyway), compared to other platforms like the gripens, USAF F-16C and harriers, having only paveways is just sad, where is the Delilah or Rampage :(

well, even if just give US ones 229’s - everyting will be fine, trade like half of CMs(in A-G loadouts) to AGM-65s, which not always can kill SPAA by warhead…
lets being fair - both of them useless against Pantsir with at least one braincell.
yes(by JDAM, GBU-8, even MK84 bomb few times). sometimes win, sometimes not. with AGM-65 not a lot changed.
IR GBU-15 are better tbh in that case
For real. LGBU’s are just… hopeless in Pantsir-land.
I’m hoping (more like coping) the ability to swarm them with GBU-39’s will act like DIY Temu cluster strikes lol, but without doubt, going into the year of our lord 2025, AGM’s are a necessity at top tier now. Just too dangerous to use anything else.

Honestly the best way to balance them imo is to give the 15E the -229 engines and give the 15I the mavs, but without the adapters for the triple 65D racks.
This way the F-15E has less countermeasures, but it can take A2A missiles on the wing pylons together with the triple 65D racks, which the 15I wouldn’t be able to do.

I want to agree with the whole unbalance thing because I do get it, I’d be unhappy if my vehicles were gimped versions of other nation’s vehicles (trust me, I’m well aware) however some of the more toxic sounding stuff I’ve read in this thread makes me want this F-15I even more

There is a reason that all the top CAS platforms are ones with Long-range ATGMs, just look at the Mirage 2000s and Gripens, they are very versatile and can perform the roles of both CAP and CAS flawlessly, regardless of the SPAA operating in that match.
