Its exactly the code that determines if ammo explodes or not… That is what it is. So it does matter, and it shows soviet bias.

I recently had a moment where I hit exactly this pile of shells, they turned red and didn’t even disappear, the tank remained alive. There were about 8-10 shells in the hull, they all turned red and not a single one exploded

Take sub 17 rounds and any hull shot the Strv will survive and fire back at the T series meanwhile that one will blow up. The only chance then is to hit that tiny spot around breech and pray it destroys it.

OP because they have the most buggy armor. I don’t even want to discuss this, because I shoot at the driver’s hatch, I don’t penetrate it, I shoot under the gun mantlet, I don’t penetrate it. Gaijin needs to rework their damage curve for all vehicles

You don’t bother shoot there just LFP or under the gun diver hatch it had high angle with composite screen there high chance that it gonna be ricochet even DM53 from 2A6 have problem shooting there

A ricochet on the turret ring? I’ll believe that, but a shell from a tank is completely eaten up by the game.
I’m talking about Leopards with good hull protection, like the 2A7V.
