It’s not. IIRC all Smin has said is that at the moment Swiss vehicles are planned for Germany, we haven’t gotten an official announcement of a permanent sub-tree.
The Pandur is also not Swiss. Austria and Switzerland are separate countries. Switzerland being in the German tree has nothing to do with Austria. At the moment, the only Austrian vehicle is in the French tree (SK105). I expect if Austria never comes to the game as a full tree like part of an Alpine one, it could go to France.
Germany has the Boxer with Skyranger entering service, why do you need the Pandur? And there’s the Leopard 1 with Skyranger for Ukraine that Germany could have (if Ukraine doesn’t get added as a separate tree).

lemme explain the History of the SK105 to you then.
For all sense and purposes the austrian SK105 was supposed to go to germany. That was gajins initial implementation plan.
The french community rebelled so much about not receiving one that gajin decided to give the austrian one to france, and the argentinian one to germany in the end.
Austria was supposed to germany.
Not to mention france already received the benelux tree, they wont recieve a alpine tree anymore, its just more likely for it to go to germany.

As it stands its either one of those for germany or not at all. If you dont want it added to the game at all be my guest. But i myself would like to see every vehicle in the world to find its place in the game, which just would best fit to germany in this case. France doesnt fit as well.

I remember. It was a stupid decision, the community was right.
Gaijin have stated sub-trees are for minor nations that need them. Germany has 5 lines already, and plenty of vehicles left to add. Gaijin have said that the 5 lines is a UI limitation that they’re not planning on getting rid of. So, unless they want to add only a couple (and I mean just a couple) Swiss tanks throughout the Germany tree (likely limited to Panzer 61, 68 and maybe a light tank or TD), Germany won’t get a sub-tree the same way South Africa, Finland, Hungary, or BeNeLux were added.
You’re right, forgot about that one. So yes, just like how Israeli or Italian vehicles were initially added. Arguably gives more hope – given the sheer number of potential Swiss additions – that they get moved to their own tree eventually

not saying they were wrong, but it proves that the sk105 is no prove for austria being a part of the french tree. it joining switzerland for alpine for germany is just more likely
all that doesnt matter, sub trees are more then just line vehicles, they count for premium/ event etc as well.
Look at india, india was officialy announced as a sub tree and is only in the premium/event/squadron line. How does that all fit into your explanation?

this realy is no limitation, look at hungary starting tier 4 in air only. Things can be moved around to fit.
eh doubt it, israel and italy were never named official sub trees, we dont have a precedent for that:

No sources are provided for the literature in question, the image is acknowledged as a photoshop representation.
Once again, “relevant literature” is cited as the source for a Shark with the FL-15 turret.
I have seen some decent coverage and rare vehicles before on namu.wiki, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt here.
