Alpine Ground TT: "Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum"

At first I was sceptical about this concept but it honestly offers a lot of interesting concepts that are going to be wasted or not fully implemented if added into other tech-trees. I really like how tech tree was done with avoiding copy-paste (for example Swiss M109). I hope this comes in the game. + 1
to note: Gaijin did not plan to implement Israel or Sweden at the beginning but then they changed their minds.
As for Subtrees 1. Size of this TT shows it can stand on its own and 2. Gaijin seems to make subtrees currently as a quick way to make money with little effort since they mostly offer copy-paste vehicles with few unique ones, of course one or two of these few are premium.

likely to late now either way, the swiss hunter and a tech tree F/A 18 are leaked to be implemented next patch

Again, they will add what is mostly copy-paste which is unfortunate. They can change their minds in the future like they did with Sweden and Israel. I see the air tech tree as the weaker point of the Alpine concept due to ammount of foreign aircraft. As for Naval Tech Tree it can be a other strong point with Austrian WW1 navy :).

I mean, they added the P-16 already, if thats not unique i dont know.
The hunter is pretty unique in its capability as well, the british cried a lot about germany getting the best hunter

I am aware some of the additions are unique but for the future I am highly sceptical of what they will implement

Well they did put 3 merkava 1 magach (usa) and a shot (British) in other tech tree but still give use a Israël tech tree.

I do think if we don’t give up we can have it or at least show that they is some player who what it.

Sry about my writing English is not my native language

Sry about my writing English is not my native language

No worries. But still highly doubtfull.
At the end of the day israel has a huge indiginous modern industry and develops a lot pf stuff. Switzerland only imports stuff.
If it wont make gajin money it wont get a standalone techtree

How about adding SkyGuard-M to the tree? Despite how the suggestion is categorized, this is very much a Swiss system and now that we’re getting aritculated vehicles, its carrier wouldn’t be an issue

You missed that switzerland is officialy a german subtree now either way didnt you?

Switzerland is not good enough for a standalone tree

also germany is the only country that ever purchased the system
three of them to be precise

Yes, thats still right.
Leopards, F/A 18, F-36 and so on, the official in service stuff is all imported.
The only thing switzerland developed themself is The prianha, but even that didnt got weaponised enough and never realy went trough prototypes.
In modern area stuff where it matters the most for gajin it is highly lacking.
Thats why its great its finaly getting added to germany as a subtree. Where gajin can concentrate on a few swiss vehicle that are unique or help the german tree.

That maybe so today, but that’s not uncommon. There are only a few countries that produce combat vehicles like tanks and aircraft. Look at modern tech (sub) trees of Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Norway,… and show me one local design.

Historically, we had quite an active military industry, considering the size of our country, and still are strong in some fields (most notably Pilatus training aircraft).

Remember also that Swiss weapons and designs were exported a lot as well: E.g. all those 20mm, 25mm, 30mm and 35mm Oerlikons that one can find on various vehicles in various countries in WT. Or those rocket launcher tanks that Germany and Sweden have, use a Swiss turret and rockets.

N.20, P-16, C-35, C-36, Panzer 51/58/68, MOWAG Piranha,…

Note also that all LAV variants e.g. the US and a lot of other countries use are based on the MOWAG Piranha, and the T-6 and AT-6 trainers are modified Pilatus PC-9 trainers

I am aware, but thats exacty why those nations did not receive a standalone tree but have been made subtrees, because in gajins view they dont have enough to be considered a good standalone tree option.
You are kinda proving my point here.

Yes, everything already being quite old stuff. For gajin its not enough anymore.
Swiss had great stuff ,dont understand me wrong. Buts its weaponry and not vehicles.
And its just not enough where ut matters for gsjin to make money.

As stated above, to old for gsjins main consideration.

LAV are modified piranhas yes.
But they are canadian mainly.
They were very unhappy when i said based on the connecrion the canadian lavs could be added to germany

Yeah, there are a lot of super interesting Swiss things. C-36 was datamined a few days ago, so I hope we see some more native Swiss planes. I’m super interested in the D.3800 series aircraft myself. And frankly, I think they’d be wonderful to see in the base TT.

As for the Swiss tanks, being that Switzerland has a metric boat loan of interesting tanks like the Panzer 39, Panzer 58, Panzer 61, Panzer 68, Nahkamfkanone I (F1)/F2/II, G.13, various MOWAG vehicles like the Shark, various HS.30 based vehicles, the G.13… etc etc. I’m honestly hoping Gaijin doesn’t end up ignoring them.

Actually just thinking about it, the Panzer 58 protos, the 58, and the 61 could help bridge the gap where the Panther II and KT 105 used to be, and could have the Panzer 68 to help fill out Rank V. That would leave the Leopard 1 protos as Premium or event vehicle canidates (maybe even BP vehicles). Either way I just hope we wind up seeing some of the actual unique Swiss stuff in the TT

Babysteps, my friend, baby steps…

I remember my happy shock when first the Hunter Mk.58 was added, opening the possibility for future Swiss addition, then the confirmation of that possibility when the P-16 came, and now we get a full five Swiss jets in one go (plus the mention of a Swiss prop…).

So chances I believe are high that we may also see some Swiss ground vehicles eventually!

Oh yeah definitly
That leo 2a4-140 definitly would be a catch

Agreed lol

Aye, the C-36 has been on my wishlist for a long time. I’m super excited about it!

Oh, most definitely. I’m a massive fan of the MOWAG Shark Series and am immensely hopeful they pop up! Ditto with the Panzer 58, 61, and 68.

Thinking about it, Germany could get both that one and the Leopard 2 KWS-III upgrade with the 140

The german one pretty unknown.
Honestly its more likely therebisnt enough sources to realy implement that one.

The bigger chaos is german 130mm. How we gonna end up with kf51s and chally 130 possibly

Aye, and not to mention, Hungary will probably get their KF51 in the Italian TT. Plus there’s also the possibility for an Italian KF51-oid
