the SA 313B Alouette II is sitting rn at 8.3, which is a VERY unfair BR for a single helicopter.
it just can’t fit with 8.0/8.3 BR:
at 8.0 u get humilliated by 9.3 tanks/planes (even with IR missiles) and 8.3 is just useless cuz u have by far better helicopters like the UH-1D or the Mi-8TB with better missiles/guns.
it should be at 8.0 just like every single helicopter in the game (except HKP3C, AB 205 A-1, Scout AH.Mk.1, AH-1G, H-34, UH-1B and Z-11WA, cuz they’re at 7.7/8.3/8.7, and also Scout should be at 8.0 and Z-11WA at 7.7/8.0 due to the weak ATGMs)
All the other helicopters are far inferior compared to the SA Alouette 313B I and SA Alouette 313B II which have far beyond maneuverability and max speed and size. In other hand, the Z-11WA and Scout AH. Mk. I should be kept, respectively at battle rating 8.7 and battle rating 8.3 because:
- Z-11WA on top of being a very agile platform has decent ATGMs and thermal imaging device, being the lowest battle rating helicopter with this feature;
- The Scout AH. Mk. I is similar to the SA Alouette I 313B with smaller size, and better agility compared to other helicopters.

All the helicopters at 8.-9.x are severely overpowered, they outrange pretty much every SPAA in the game, are you just floating into the battlefield and not staying at max range launching ATGMS?
All you have to do is set the hover key, go up and down slightly, and you’ll dodge basically 90% of the stuff thrown at you, if you want to be really tricky do side to side movements too. Pretty much all gun SPAA im aware of can’t hit you from 4-5km away, only thing touching you is PF slingers like begleit or certain TD’s or things like shturm-s.
if u want to be an ez target, then yeah, press the hover key and move just vertically so the enemy can give u a barrage of 35mm bullets
also the ATGMs can only travel 3.5km, so i need to be like 2km of the cap points to hit enemies from their spawn
and all this is redudant: when i made the Mi-4AV post to say it should be 7.7, everybody said no cuz its ATGMs can travel 4km
and now there’s someone saying the Alouette should still be at 8.3 cuz it has good maneuverability
My bad I was thinking hot1s, I know the ZSU can’t touch you at 3.5km, how far can gepard shoot I haven’t played it in a while.

im not pretty sure thermals are useful in lowtier, they’re better for long-range shots in toptier.
like shooting a Vikhr/Khrizantema at 10km
gepard is in ur team so u don’t have to worry about it, but the XM246 is like gepard but better (cuz the cannons are almost combined so the burst is more precise).
and well, its an american gepard, so it can shoot at 2km, i didn’t got many issues with them at +2km
What a brilliant comparison, those are far away helicopters in battle rating terms in different scenarios, while Ka-52 for example faces SACLos missiles, the Z-11WA rarely will face IR missiles given its current battle rating, thermal imaging gives a huge advantage due to the lower amount of missiles specially at urban maps, which same thermal imagers are decent to high quality image.
i got no issues to detect enemies in urban maps with the Alouette II, so if have good vision (irl), u don’t need it
