Hey Gaijin, how’s it going? We’ve been almost two years without any new maps—the last one was Attica, back at the end of 2024. The situation at Top Tier is completely unhealthy. It feels like we’re just killing each other inside a tiny sandbox, with 16 tanks chasing bases Call of Duty style.
The current War Thunder maps simply lack the infrastructure to support these modern vehicles; in less than four minutes, players are already spawn camping. The situation isn’t any different in Air RB, which doesn’t support aircraft of that scale either.
However, my main focus here is GRB. The maps are just too small. You can’t even flank with light tanks anymore, whether it’s due to drones (which honestly should be removed) or simply because of map limitations. To top it off, it seems there was recently a meeting involving several content creators to discuss the current state of the game.

War Thunder is taking the wrong turn, Gaijin is going to end up killing the game, their work is becoming just as shoddy as EA.

I highly doubt it; they prefer to spend their time with Senrai Maidens, and this thread will probably die or be locked, and the community itself won’t care about it. I don’t understand how people think it’s normal that we’ve gone almost two years without any changes to GRB, without even having new maps in the game.

For GRB, the emphasis seems to be ruining remaking older maps. But yeah, Air, Ground and Naval, there has been a severe lack of any new maps for a while

Basically, that’s it, my friend. Nobody asked for these remakes (my PC goes boom). Instead of fixing the problems with the modes, naval is dead, so I have no interest in it. Air RB has been at its limit since the addition of the Eurofighter and Rafale. GRB is in a lamentable situation, and I’ve been saying this for years, but this issue is practically ignored by the community. But I insist on saying, new maps and new modes would solve large parts of the game’s problems. And it seems that the decline of War Thunder is finally beginning. Today when I woke up, I saw several videos of content creators talking about the beginning of the game’s decline and about this large meeting of content creators.

Yeah the end is here, Gaijin is doing ABSOLUTELY nothing. Maybe Nuclear Thunder will save Air RB, but they haven’t lifted a finger to save GRB. It has no maps, no balancing, the events are garbage, the addition of Senrai Maidens, the events, and the battle passes are terrible.

Bro, but we need a completely new game mode for GRB, and a completely TWO YEARS with no Maps.
Why on earth don’t they create a Nuclear Thunder-style GRB mode, at least to test community feedback? But they don’t even do that.
Get one mode working first maybe add to that mode

Man is right, no maps as no money to be made. We are at the point they Release AI created slop and charge £70. War thunder addicts will dry up and with no new players its a RIP.

Or instead of creating a whole new mode, listen to the community. I’m not asking for gigantic maps with 7km of tanks from World War II; those would be awful in this scenario, although in the early days of War Thunder the maps were like that. But at least from version 9.0 or 10.0 onwards, large maps like Fulda, with areas to flank, maybe even AI defending points, new mechanics instead of just capturing bases—the community has already presented some interesting proposals, such as a conquest mode where one team advances and the other defends, and if the defending team loses, it unlocks more parts of the map. But instead, we’re stuck with the same old thing without any change.

Exactly, man, the game has a lot of problems right now, but some issues like low-quality content, copy-and-paste, balancing, and maps in GRB and new modes need special attention from Gaijin.
