The F-4 Phantom series where not known for their maneuverability, garnering nicknames like the flying anvil and lead sled. Yet in game even the Unslotted Phantoms turn fairly well.
The British Fg.1 when loaded up to match the weight in the British Harrier tactics manual (The Phantoms turn rate chart was added for training crossovers) Will sustain over 15 degrees a second in turn and have an ITR of 18 degrees a second at 400 knots.
Currently working on one. I have one for the F-5 as well.
I just do not have a slatted Phantom so I need someone for testing, but if the non-slatted one turns better than the IRL slatted one I assume it overperforms regardless.
Just an FYI, but others have reported the F-5 before. From what I remember, Gaijin refused the NATOPS report and instead trusted Soviet documents on the F-5.
That’s hilarious but the report I saw just had no reply. Why trust some random Russian report over the actual manuals of a plane that wasn’t even Russian.
That seems oddly right, I know nothing about the F-4s irl really, but I find them to be a much better dogfighter than the F-14 which is… odd to say the least
oh yea hey matrix the f100D can win a guns-only dogfight against an f5 (mostly due to G limits forcing the f5 to not pull to hard to avoid black outs though)
