With the naval weapons set to have the recoil of a Desert Eagle pistol hitting the head of a girl (those of you who were old enough probably know the video), all boats should be stabilized for fair gameplay, like on the Soviet armored gunboats.
Boats have already been greatly nerfed with the auto aim (I support the new system, but it’s also an side effect of it), so they need more help to become competitive.
I haven’t played many (if any) boats so I wouldn’t know the stabilization problems, but doesn’t the game autostabilize it in arcade regardless of what you’re sailing?
Honestly, a deep dive into the new aiming is unnecessary, but I feel like it damaged arcade heavily, making it both a sweatfest and hard to use to get into naval (as simplistic as it is)
Boat guns are stabilised. It’s just that in certain sea states the way the boat hull moved will exceed the targetting speed of the guns. Much like how some MBT’s become unstabilised at high speeds in arcade.
Pair that with many naval mounts not having great gundepression a boat in heavy pitch or roll will often just bottom out its guns.
So in short: most guns on coastals are stabilised. But it can only compensate for an unstable platform to a certain extent.
