66.8 metric tons, so not that much heavier than a SEP v2.
It does quickly start to add up if there’s options for 2.2 ton Trophy, 1.16 ton ARAT I or 1.66 ton ARAT II.

It’s (yet another) wasted chance to get better ammo( M829A3 / a useful “SAP-VT” shell in the M1147 AMP), CROWS-J or any of the multitude of outstanding issue(s) fixed with the Abrams.
i dont think the T-14 were in the drawing board, mostly because SEPV3 armor package was developed before the T-14 was presented. but i do believe threats like more modern rounds and possible future rounds were taken into account altought at 74 tons its gonna be a pain, they really need to make regenerative steering and more reallistic mobility before SEPV3 arrives or this is gonna be an absolute pain
Abrams can mount CROWS-J?
Even with a 20% loss in speed due to weight, it’ll still have a 35mph top speed and 20mph reverse speed.
Honestly they just need to fix the lower mantlet of the Abrams. I don’t even care if they release the sep v3
Well I remember various statements by Army generals even pre pandemic declaring they didn´t assess the T-14 as a tangible threat. But on the other hand, the same gun and associated ammunition can be easily retrofitted to T-72/90 platforms, which was their purpose originally. So its not out of the question that SEPv3 was required to provide protection against whatever level of capability was envisaged for Vacuum and the like.
assess* it sounds so bad if u say it the other way it means booties
Thanks for the heads up
The current CROWS mounted on the SEP V3 is a standardized mount, any vehicle with the modern CROWS can mount the CROWS-J or any of the myriad of sub variants, including but not limited to, M230s, Stingers, GAU-19s and more.
A Javelin CROWS would be really nice
yeah no worries lol, its just that ur comment might be deleted cuz of that, specially with the dubious quality of the moderation system
Ah crap, forgot WT used metric.
Trophy would be far more useful than ARAT packages, unless Gaijin decides to give it some Kinetic protection.
Nice. We do have it in game so could just, stick it on before they do it IRL?
Golan Heights, for one, decimated the soviet built armor because they had more depression than the soviet equipment had elevation.
That was not the reason. Israel had like few dozen tanks destroyed in the entire battle by tanks, the rest were either RPG’d, artillery’d or CAS’d.
On the note of CAS, still kinda funny how Israeli A-4 sales pops up above my BBC middle east reports.
where you geting that info cause mines from a first hand account from age of tanks, and the well known fact that golan hights was one of the last major conventional tank battles, and that russian tanks had design flaws compared to nato equipment (Depression vs elevation angles, and reverse speeds) also Isrial had the high ground during the battle
The Israeli tanks barely moved, combat reports said they remained in their positions in entrenched tank ramps, whilst Syrians attacked through a relatively narrow gap.
A more fair battle on the Sinai showed very clearly how Soviet tanks were meant to be used barring the order to step out of air defense zones.
Also just to note the Israelis did take note of the superiority of 115mms during the battle as a couple centurions were hit from long ranges without range finders.
I am not denying the soviet tanks having these huge disadvantages but after all they were neither advanced at the time nor were they used in the ways supposed to, Soviet weaponary are very much situational and that for example MiG-25 was almost exclusively only useful in interceptions.
nice 405

What exactly are you arguing? that it an unfair battle? cause I never mentioned it being a fair battle no battle is a fair battle (except in the olden days where they literally met up in fields and waited to shoot each other at the same time)
typo cause Grammarly is stupid
