As a lot of you know, some aircraft which are equipped with CCRP capable ballistic computers for automated bomb release, do NOT show any CCRP relevant info in the cockpit - which is of course vastly problematic in Sim… Examples of this are all Phantom II’s, Skyhawks, as well as F-111 and F-105.
I’ve now been able to dig up useful references and created bug reports on this, and I would appreciate it if you could head over to those reports and provide your support by klicking “I have the same issue”, and possibly also comment on it.
There are few other bugs with CCRP in sim battles.
Sometimes the Vertical line disappears when I’m very close to a target.
Sometimes it’s so wobbly I can’t aim.

There is missing “timer” in A-10 Warthog.
All these problems are often in US aircrafts.
I wonder, if thats also a issue that in SB the CCRP is visible all the time (on some planes) in every direction and not just when you are going into the direction of the base
I believe the issue of it not releasing is related to elevation on specific maps - for some reason the bases in the pre-programmed target are wrong so they don’t release, you have to manually select the base (by pointing either your HMD or your nose and clicking your 'select target" keybind) and then they’ll release as expected - still a bug but a bug at the individual map/base level.
But it happens like this - I can drop bombs on the first pass and RTB, on the second pass and RTB, sometimes three times on the same airport, and the next time they won’t release.
And this also happens on maps like Sicily, Sinai.
I never bomb airfields so idk, but my guess is each of the targets is individually setup and the ones you’re unable to release on have the issue and the other two you didn’t (did you destroy the module or target a different module?).
Its match duration usually to blame for half the bugs. If you pay attention most of the bugs (those that arent related to just lazyness surrounding a gamemode they dont remember) dont actually occur in the first 30 or so minutes of the match, but then it just gets worse as the game goes on. With it being a gamemode you can join part the way through, that is more often than not.
I never thought of it like that, but even then I find a lot of bugs occuring early in the match, mainly to do with technical stuff like radar, weapon functionality ect
I’m still having issues with bomb series drops. It usually happens the first time I release bombs. I enable the weapon selector and set the number of bombs there, but instead of dropping the selected amount, only one bomb drops. However, if I use a separately bound key for bomb series release instead of the selector, it drops the correct number.
There’s also an issue where bombs don’t release when dropped from altitudes above 5–6 km while using CCRP.
Recently, I noticed another bug related to BR. When I was playing at 10.3 and dealing severe damage to ships, sometimes another player would finish them off, but I wouldn’t receive an assist. However, at 10.7, for the same type of severe damage, I do get an assist.
And there’s also a sound bug — when a teammate damages or sinks a ship, I hear a cannon shot as if someone right next to me fired a gun 😅
Aww, yes that’s annoying: Just recently “worked” an enemy carrier for almost an hour with Sea Eagles, and maybe one more run before I could sink it, one sole F-4 came in and finished it with a GBU-15. I didn’t get anythin, but that was at 10.7 (Buccaneer S.2B).
And what made it even more annoying, before that not a single other player ever even tried to approach the carrier…
Yeah, also very annoying, and the reason why I’ve stopped playing it for now.
There’s also still a lot of aircraft that are missing CCRP symbols in the 3D-cockpit, especially the F-4 series, but also F-105, A-4’s still lack any indication for CCRP in Sim.
I’m still fighting for it however. Only success I had so far was with the F-111’s which now have a working (and authentic) CCRP indication on the HUD, which increased their usefullness in Sim tremendeously.
As to “bugs over time”, I have to say I have not yet observed anything like that. What are those bugs exactly? Radar deteriorating? Hm, I use radar very little, and when I do, I use it very intermittedly, often going silent for long times to hide my presence…
To be honest, I didn’t really pay attention to how it works with the aircraft carrier. I was focused on the smaller ships docked in ports.
With the carrier, I had a different issue — I was using what I believe were the same missiles as on the Buccaneer, but on the Hawk 209 I can only carry a maximum of two. After three or four attempts, I gave up because I wasn’t receiving any points for damaging the carrier.
