There was always an issue at prop BRs - if multiple aircraft tried to take off at the same time just one of them got an acceleration boost, the other not and drowned.
Recommendation: Try next time to wait until your teammate takes off.
But - i noticed today (whilst taking off from a carrier on Norway in a FR-1) that the acceleration boost was either strongly reduced or totally absent. The fact that i took off “clean” (= without payload) saved my life, the 175 kmph airspeed was enough to keep me airborne.
I noticed something else which is incorrect.
At takeoff the pilot has to release his hand of the HOTAS until after cat shot. If I do this, the F-14 will dive into the water.
Or - the other classic - the catapult speeds you up fast enough to immediately break your undercarriage.

As an update to my previous post:
I had Norway again - and tried this time to take off with payload. No acceleration - i fell into the sea. So i had just pure luck yesterday that i took off without payload and the flaps kept me in the air (witz 175 kmph air speed).
Typical gaijin issue - as usual. Crew lock is logical and pathetic result…

I have filed many bug reports will extensively researched and providing many „public“ documents. Best example is the Yaw damper of the NF-5A. The bug reports ends up in not even been handled.

I have invested many hours and days researching, calling some colleagues from air force times, for afterwards GJ doing nothing with the information or even closing the case directly. My hourly rate is 175 swiss francs. I am not wasting my time with a developer that is ignoring or closing legit obtained information or first hand information Its not worth it, since my time is not paid. I rather go out and make some loops in my privately owned Pilatus airforce training aircraft and get some Gs 😉 I prefer the smell of JetA1 rather than GJ ignorance
Cat start for the F18C is trim 12, hands off controls. If in WT this does not work then something is modelled wrong. GJ devs have and ability to read through checklists themselfs if they don‘t want to listen to the experts.

If your report hasn’t been processed for a long time (or if you think it has been incorrectly handled) you can message the Technical Moderators here on the forum and ask about it. You can find all the teams and the areas they handle listed here: (Who is who and Reporting Procedure). If you don’t get an answer within a few days you can add more moderators from the list to the original message instead of sending a new message (that way you preserve the date of the message and it doesn’t look like a new request), adding one of the moderators to the message every 2-3 days or so until you get an answer.
Please do not to add the seniors until you have tried all other regular moderators, the Seniors likely won’t answer unless they are added and pinged by the regular moderators but if you’ve added all the regular moderators with no answer then you can add the seniors.
I even started a thread in here regarding the NF-5A yaw damper issue, post got removed by the mods. I addressed this probably in every single patch release in the last 7 month. I contacted Smin so many times … its really a waste of time
Same for the Mirage IIIS C70. I served in the Swiss Air Force, same as my neighbour. We did have AIM-9-P4 on the upgraded IIIS. GJ does nothing about it. Its wrong in one or the other way. Either you remove the C70 upgrades from the Mirage IIIS and make it an early one, then the armament is right or you make it a C70, then you got to add the P4. But mix and match for me any many other in here is wrong if you claim that your game want to be “the most realistic” out there.
I can always ask to for an AIM120 on my Mirage IIIS, but that would technically nor real live make sense. But at least thos things that have proof “public”, because I cannot release classified documents, thos could be handled. But like I said, they aren’t handled except for closing or deleting.

Munitions are up to balance choice. there are A LOT of vehicles that do not have the munitions they used IRL. Realism doesn’t necessarily mean historically accurate.
