What jet are you using?

The airfield on the map “Winter Stalingrad” (gamedata/missions/cta/planes/enduring_confrontation/stalingrad_w_i2m) for WW2 brackets (EC3 - 3.3-4.3) causes aircraft spawned to bounce violently even with engine off.

The airfield was NOT damaged.

Attached is a screenshot showing the map and two screenshots (before, after) showing the take off. Additionally attached is the replay for the mission and a mp4 from my OBS instant replay showing my player-side perspective.

An 80’s American saying: “Don’t feel like The Lone Ranger” meaning in modern internet terms “I feels yah.” or “You’re not alone!”

Not only does Gaijin have a history of ignoring or deleting valid SINGLE bug reports, some staff have actually offered schoolboy scoldings for those of us trying to make a contribution.

My nagging issue is the mass-dumbing down of flight models-there’s just no approaching Gaijin about 30-40 flight models that should be rectified.

Question, what conditions in mm must there be for bot players to spawn in place of players? What brs does this happen in?

Gaijin if you see this please change the convoy and ground battle AA into SPAA that actually has radar bands that the majority of the ARM’s can actually see and target. At the moment the ZA-35 uses D band which hardly any missile uses and the convoys spawn Sidam 25s with only optical tracking although they act like full on radar SPAA’s anyway. Gepards , M163s and Shilka’s are more numerous IRL and actually have bands that early anti radar missiles can see.

Its genuinely stupid that they did not add any targets to use ARM against, Especially in ASB where SEAD would be a good addition

I don’t really play top tier ground RB and they ruined Nuclear Thunder for me with how strong the BUKs are. This is the only mode where I can actively use them and at the moment the only targets are the ITO 90s at the enemy airfield. But that means you have to fly al the way to their base and ignore all the other objectives. Also mixed load outs become way less useful. I am not going to attack any tanks at the enemy airfield so it becomes a pure ARM run then.

Yep, Im the same, they have added a new weapon for aircraft and then basically rendered those weapons unusable in Air Modes because of nothing more than pure laziness

Why did the ground forces’ anti-aircraft AI start firing at all players?

Previously, it should only fire at aircraft equipped with ground attack weapons or those attacking ground forces.

My feelings about this change aren’t simply dissatisfaction.

As far as I remember, several years ago, there were complaints about the behavior of the anti-aircraft AI from players with various play styles, and this conclusion was finally reached after frequent specification changes and discussions.

To suddenly change this without explanation or prior notice is, in my opinion, a trampling on the efforts of the engineers and players who went through so much trial and error and discussion at the time.

it is bc they changed how the AI works for nuclear thunder

They make changes to other gamemodes. Hit “apply to all” and then forget Air Sim was in that “all” category. It happens all the time

While I’m not opposed to more varied targets, to be fair using ARMs that can target the za-35 + the man in the loop tv guided bombs/missiles + plus having movable target points does make it much easier to prioritise targeting the AA in convoys before moving on to the main tanks, so the update is still overall a net benefit for players in this regard. You can also use ARMs against some of the AA in the frontlines, although since the targets are static they are only really beneficial compared to regular ATGMs or guided bombs in bad weather.

I found that trying to use them against airfield AA is at best a more braided but less rewarding way to farm mission points than literally bombing them (now that most bombs are intercepted as well), since you can target them from greater distances but you’ll be lucky to get a kill or two since most missiles get intercepted. It’s objectively inferior from a mission points perspective to spamming hundreds of unguided rockets in the AA’s general direction.
