Would people play air rb mode but in sim style… so 3d person as usual but with larger maps and sim objectives… capture A shoot down attackers and bombers etc.
But take away enemy markers like in sim… add helicopter aswell and use sim br bracket rotation. 3hr playtime aswell and also infinite respawn as long as you are willing to pay for repair costs… Add in pilboxes and frontlines like seen on some rb maps. Also ships and patroleboats…

Pheasing it “sim-style” is just weird. Since sim is determined by gameplay, but what you want is the EC mission design, which isn’t gameplay at all.
What’s wrong with just playing sim though?

Nothing. I mainly play sim air as preferd game mode. Also like air rb but matches seems to fast especially in jets as missiles end matches quickly. A new twist on air rb would be fun on weekends. Could be nice way to kick back and relax on larger maps in a new mode. But atill add some form a challenge.
Its not always fun to have to go back to hanger amd search newaps atleast then if you get smoked tou can hop back in faster and continue the fight

I like this idea and i also proposed it several times to friends, squadron mates and in the ingame chat and a lot of people agreed with me.
Gaijin should overall rework the Air RB modes and maybe arcade modes accordignly. Maybe even seperate the modes into something like Team Deathmatch and another mode that is more objective based and plays longer than the usual 10-15min match.
A lot of players just want to turn their brain off (nothing wrong with that), rush into the furball, toss a few missiles or gunshots around, die, rinse and repeat - but that’s not what a lot of players are looking for.
I for my part would like an objective based mode like it already is in Simulator battles (basically EC matches), but a little more refined. More diverse objectives, wich could include planes that are not viable for the normal player like the B-52 and its counterparts just to escort them to an objective while fending off enemy players.
Also the maps need to become bigger with the current and upcoming weapon systems.
BTT: I see a big playerbase wich would play “Simulator EC” with realistic controls and respawn from my experience in both modes RB and SB.

Yeah it would add some new spice to air rb. Cas player can cas undetected for some time. Bombers can climb and bomb. In all as seen in sim eventually you will get spotted and attacked… but that would ve some more fun

Ok… Maybe it’s just me.
Since inreally don’t get the appeal of RB once you started SB.
Playing AB and SB combined majes sense since AB is the best shooter and SB the best air combat. What do you need the weird RB mix for after that? Just cusious.
I sometimes like to be in 3d person. I dont like air arcade physics. This id personly like so see rb and sim join. I dont like enemy markers… and dont always wanna be stuck to cockpit… somedays i just wanna sit back and relax and fly with a more relaxed setup

Realistic always just ends in team deathmatch and
Simulator can be draining.
What i mean with draining: I don’t always want to set up my Hotas or my VR. I know you don’t have to, but that’s part of sim for me. Sometimes i just want to chill, fly a little around and have a nice video on my 2nd screen.

Yeah. I think the mode would be good for air rb players especially as then you can chase to get air to air kills but it wont just end the match as fast. Cas guys can go do there thing bombers there thing… people alwasy say sim matches are to long but you end up playing three hrs anyway just on 4or 5 difrent maps…

That would be great. Big maps, BVR, more objectives and most importantly an arcade aspect for it(like ARB). It won’t be a sim but i would be far more fun that ARB

Yes, if People start enjoying without spending money, that’s bad for Gaijin(or any kind of business, understandable) So probably we won’t get this mode so easily.

Yeah i think revenge dog fights woukd be fun. Get killed go bavk get hes ass. Cap A do some cas get shot doen go bavk out and delete that guy woykd be such a bigger chance to learn aswell. I hate dyung going to hanget and waiting for matches
So many of us here have been begging for an Air RB EC mode for years to no avail.
It would be great to see it but Gaijin just doesnt seem interested in bringing it back.
