Air defense spawn for helicopters

Its better not to add air defenses which clutter too much of the map with NPC AA fire.

We had this, and its annoying as hell. Still remember how I got shot down while just flying around the ground map part.

Yes, the condensed battlespace did not allow jets much room to operate, especially the supersonic variety with the helicopter AA.

You mean like helicopters often spawnkill ground forces at their fixed spawn points?

I think the helipads are fine, despite getting killed from spawn at helipad can be frustrating.
Aircraft should spawn in on the airfield, and the further helipad should have airfield AAA cover, while the closer one should be defenseless. GRB, J’ing out on the helipad / airfield should be an option, just like it is in ARB; however, you shouldn’t be immune to damage (although it too can be frustrating to be killed by aircraft while changing loadouts). The problem here is that people may use it to cheat death, by making enemies waste ammo on you, despite you being invulnerable.

The aircraft pings you get when enemy aircraft are near any of the helipads is difficult to say whether it should be kept or removed. On one hand, it allows those who want to spawn in helicopters information about where enemy aircraft are, and whether or not they’re trying to spawnkill. But at the same time, it can be frustrating for the aircraft that they are being marked on the map for other aircraft to see. Red arrows around the sides of a screen are also present for ground units, when enemy aircraft pass the helipads, so it may help SPAA too.
