Air battle (realistic) scenario improvement

Hi,

In low and some mid tier air battles, there is the possibility to destroy the main ennemy airfield once all bases are taken out.
But why this not implemented in all air battles (from low to top tier)?

Here is my reflexion :
Current scenarios are oriented air to air only, with just severals ground targets and bases for those who want to fly ground attack aircrafts.
Even as a 90% air to air player, I would love to see a slightly more complex scenario. The possibility to attack the main airfield after the 4 bases could be an idea.

Some reasons :

  • There would actually be a purpose in destroying bases, and this could lead to a win (if the airfield is destroyed). I think it’s a nonsense that the destruction of bases doesn’t have any effects on the tickets.
  • Of course I also think that the total destruction of the ennemy team should still be the main and easiest way to win a game.
  • IMO, the game would be less boring with a sightly more interesting/complex/realistic scenario like this (still talking as a main air to air player).
  • Ground attack aircrafts would actually have a real purpose in air battles, and a real mission.
  • More interesting and challenging flights for them.
  • Overall, battles would be still mainly about air to air, but with more variations on how they would go on, with more or less ground attackers trying to sneak to their objective, may be with some cover, or not.

What’s your thinking about it?

4-Stack F-4C and Tu-4 spam years ago.

You can only do it on the 3-base maps iirc (which are sometimes found in props) while the bases still respawn on 4-base maps.

Because in some BRs these are the worst maps you can play because 4 bombers can destroy the airfield in a single run without a chance to do anything against it.
The matchmaker ignores any balancing between bombers, attackers, fighters and strike aircraft. So one team could have 4 bombers while the other team has none.

This is largely Air Sim and so waht is needed is RB EC with the long overdue EC overhauls

Correct, whilst the main problem is that gaijin is unable to adjust base and airfield HP to BRs, planes in the lobby and payloads. Imho the F-4 Es showed this perfectly (March 2020) - so gaijin gave up and implemented respawning bases (May 2020).

Base kills have a delayed ticket impact, they kill ~ 160-300 tickets.
